Muslim boys’ names ideas

My husband’s family are Pakistani, mine are white British. Any ideas for nice Muslim names that won’t be mispronounced by my family?! Bonus points for names that exist in both cultures...

So far we like: Eesa/ Issa, Tobias, Laith, Noah.

I teach a Laith and he is the loveliest pupil I have ever taught!

I really like the name Imran.

I am a very supportive mum and my son came out as transgender (girl to boy) and we are going out to get his hair cut! ❤️

Omar has to be my absolute favourite Muslim name.

I know a lovely little Ibrahim in a mixed family. It might seem long, but it's a familiar name to British ears unlike Eesa or Zaki.

Adam

Isaac
Jed

I've taught Muslim boys with all of these names, some with different spellings.

I've had a lifetime of correcting my name and was loathe to choose a complex name for my DC that people not from my culture couldn't pronounce. Names I like are:

Harris (Arabic and Scottish). Means 'guardian/protector'
Karim- Arabic name meaning 'noble/honourable'
Rumi- after the infamous mystic saint
Kamran (or Cameron I'm spelling)?
Daniel (pronounced Daniyaal)
Aslan- Turkish name meaning 'Lion'
Mikaeel (Arabic equivalent of Michael- can be spelled in various ways)
Sikander- Persian equivalent of Alexander
Nael- Arabic name meaning 'brave/strong/courageous'
Rayyan (or Ryan)- depending on how it's spelled can mean 'one of the gates of paradise' or 'wisdom'.

Names that have a positive/lovely meaning are what's preferred in Pakistani/Muslim households.

There are so many more!

Rohan? You’d have to be sure you were happy with the inevitable English Rowan pronunciation, but as long as you were happy with that it would work beautifully.
