Hettie

Edenember · 09/05/2020 21:59

@Ifeel1000yearsold Hettie looks more like a name in its own right to me X

daisydalrymple · 09/05/2020 22:00

Hettie
Pretty name 💜

123Dancewithme · 09/05/2020 22:01

Hettie

ButterfliesandMoths · 09/05/2020 22:04

Sorry to to be different but I was immediately drawn to Hetty

Plaitandcurl · 09/05/2020 22:55

They both make me think of a little Victorian orphan

Curlysusie · 09/05/2020 22:56

Hey tie

DramaAlpaca · 09/05/2020 22:56

Hettie.

Curlysusie · 09/05/2020 22:56

*hettie
Stupid phone

AppleKatie · 09/05/2020 22:56

Either, provided it’s short for Harriet or Henrietta

Sorry that’s not what you wanted to hear is it?

squaresandsquares · 09/05/2020 22:57

Love the name. I know a 5 year old Hetty. I like it with a y.
Lovely name

Mucklowe · 09/05/2020 23:41

Neither! It's a sneeze not a name.

jfoyo26 · 10/05/2020 00:20

My sister is Heather and goes by Hetty

JKScot4 · 10/05/2020 00:21

One of my dogs is Hettie, very clever and cheeky 😉🤣

bridgetreilly · 10/05/2020 00:30

Seriously? That's not a thing you can make your own mind up about?

june2007 · 10/05/2020 00:32

Neither I prefer henrietta (if shortennned then to Hettie.)

Staffori · 10/05/2020 00:42

Either one. Love the name. I know two IRL - one is Henrietta shortened to Hettie, the other is Heather shortened to Hetty. When I adopted an RSPCA cat called Heather I immediately shortened it to Hetty.

But I think it's fine as a name on its own and doesn't have to be short for anything.

Aclh13 · 10/05/2020 03:15

Usually I adore an Ie bur for some reasons hetty flows better, ironically you should name her Hetty Flo x

Aclh13 · 10/05/2020 03:21

I usually adore an ie, but for some reason*

NameChange84 · 10/05/2020 03:27

Hetty reminds me of the hoover or the saying “don’t get het up”.

Susanna85 · 10/05/2020 03:54

Henrietta to hettie

TheThingWithFeathers · 10/05/2020 04:12

Hettie.

Grufallosfriends · 10/05/2020 08:11

Neither. They're not names but sounds.

Heather or Henrietta.

Beautiful3 · 10/05/2020 08:25

I Iove the name Hetty! I know a beautiful little girl called Hetty. It suits her so much.

Beautiful3 · 10/05/2020 08:30

Hetty also comes from Hester by the way! Hetty is an actual Victorian name in it's own right! Kitty, Sam and Betty are all abbreviated nicknames from katherine, Samuel and Elizabeth. But all have evolved into stand alone names today. Pick the name and spelling you love the most.
