Pretty much settled on either Carrie or Felicity. Thoughts on either would be appreciated. I sway between both. Middle name to be Frances.

My only thought with Carrie, is that it feels more of a nickname?

Thank you in advance lovely community!

Carrie, all day long. It's a name in its own right and not simply a short form of Caroline. I know a Carrie who is a life changing professional in the education/wellbeing arenas, a simply fabulous strong, determined , kind woman so the name conjures up nothing but good connections for me.

Cbeebiesrehab · 18/04/2020 23:48

Felicity 100%

SE13Mummy · 18/04/2020 23:57

Felicity Frances! I love the name Felicity, and the fact it has lots of nickname options. DD1 was very nearly Felicity but DH felt she looked more like the other shortlisted name so we chose that instead. She's a teenager and I can't imagine her as Felicity now but still love it.

DramaAlpaca · 19/04/2020 00:11

I love Felicity Frances. However, I like Carrie better than any of the popular diminutives of Felicity.

If the choice was Caroline Frances, nn Carrie, I'd go for that.

Aquamarine1029 · 19/04/2020 00:17

Carolyn, nn Carrie.

JemSynergy · 19/04/2020 00:30

Felicity definitely. Don't like Carrie reminds me of the film.

RoseMartha · 19/04/2020 00:31

Carrie

Jthorne1994 · 19/04/2020 01:08

I would 100% choose felicity. It's so pretty!

babynamelover · 19/04/2020 02:35

Felicity for me too 😊

Spartak · 19/04/2020 02:37

Depends on your surname. I wouldn't want the initials FFS.

I prefer Carrie out of the two though.

MilkNoSugars · 19/04/2020 02:42

Prefer Carrie.

The 2 felicitys I know get called 'flick' which I really don't like as a nickname!

Darcy224 · 19/04/2020 02:42

Carrie x

Rainbowqueeen · 19/04/2020 02:49

Felicity would be my choice.

QueenofDestruction · 19/04/2020 02:51

Felicity is lovely, Carrie also reminds me of the film

Astronica · 19/04/2020 05:32

Felicity. Gorgeous. Felicity Frances is a great combo!

OffThePlanet · 19/04/2020 05:38

Felicity is my favourite. DD’s friend’s name is Felicia.

tiedy · 19/04/2020 06:20

Carrie is nicer

littlefawn · 19/04/2020 08:45

Carrie

NannyR · 19/04/2020 08:49

I love Carrie, I quite like Caroline but I think Carrie works as a stand alone name. I thought of the book "Carries War" by Nina Bawden when I heard it (a favourite childhood book)

Bitofeverything · 19/04/2020 08:55

Carie in french means tooth rot or just rot and I’m half french, so don’t love it!

Blursula · 19/04/2020 09:25

I prefer Carrie. Felicity is nice but she will probably never be called that - so it depends really how you feel about Flick, Fliss and Flissy!

Carrie7469 · 19/04/2020 11:48

I've had mine spelt as "Carry" a couple of times 🤔

Ikeameatballs · 19/04/2020 11:51

I like both. I think it depends upon the flow with your surname.

strawberry2017 · 19/04/2020 12:28

My best friend is Carrie and it's a fabulous name. X

LotusClover · 19/04/2020 14:20

Carrie 100%. Felicity is nice but as others have said, it's a bit dated and the nickname "Flick" is horrible. Also, Felicity Frances sounds a bit fussy to me.

Carrie is lovely and I know a couple of girls who have it as their full name. It works perfectly fine as a standalone name in my opinion and is very pretty.
