“Strong”/ unisex girls names

Some that I like are

Alexandra shortened time Alex or Andi
Helena shortened to Lenny
Dylan
Juliet (obviously not unisex but I think it’s strong sounding)
Brynn
Theo
Edie
Ellen

I tend to shy away from frilly very “girly” names as they tend to only suit girly girls. Can you imagine Ellen Degeners or Cate Blanchett or evening someone like Michelle Obama being called Poppy or Daisy? (Nothing wrong with those names- lovely names but I want something that’s more adaptable to all personality types).

It’s depressing how many suggestions here are either boys names or girls names that can have masculine diminutives (I’m not counting Alex, Sam or a couple of others which I’d classify as unisex); whole lists of names with boys’ NNs.

A strong and elegant GIRLS name is best for a girl; OP has thought of a few and plenty more have been suggested, like Alexandra (wonderful name! 😉)

But Dylan, Bryn? Come on! And don’t get me started on some MNers’ bizarre drive to promote James for a girl!

Personally I love unisex names for girls!
I'm not sure what names sound "strong," anyway here're some unisex names I like.

James
Ellis
Blake
Alex

Maybe choose a full name that can have these unisex nn?

James is not a unisex name!!

Maia (pronounced My- ah)
Elise
Amber

Freddie (Frederike)
Alex (Alexandra)
Sam (Samantha)
Theo (Theodora)
Teddie (Theodora)
Charlie (Charlotte)
Cameron
Robyn
Rowan

I think girls names ending in 'n' sound strong. I know girls/women with all the names above.
