Pretty girls names like Emily

The name Emily is such a pretty name for a girl and I tend to find most people feel the same. The problem is, I want it for my dd but can’t and no other names are matching up to me.

A few of you have said Ottilie and Ettilie, which is weird as i have never heard of this name before!

I had this problem —so many good classic names already used by family members. Her are some we had to reject for that reason.

Hi op I'm an Emily heard this name recently Emmeline? And thought it was nice I've also met an Emmy but know it's not everyone's tastes as might be too much like a nickname

How about Elodie or Emmy/Emmie?

I have a dd called Emily. I really dislike the name and use the nickname that her 2 years old brother gave her the day after she was born. No-one except very new school friends and teachers use her Christian name and everyone uses the nickname.

Can I ask why you picked Emily if you changed it the day after birth- why did you register it?
