Just after opinions please. Due my 2nd daughter in March and so far no names have "jumped" out at me.
We do have 2, Ivy and Daisy which my OH choose.
I like them both but much prefer Daisy.
Just wanting people's opinions, which do you prefer.
I don't like "popular" names and wondering are any of these names that!

Thanks

Daisy. Ivy is pretty too but seems to be very popular at the moment.

Bluerussian · 10/01/2020 07:53

I prefer Daisy but would go with Marguerite and call her Daisy.

Robs20 · 10/01/2020 07:54

Daisy for same reasons as pp!

PlantPotting · 10/01/2020 08:15

I love ivy

How about iris?

PlantPotting · 10/01/2020 08:16

What’s your first DD called?

BobbyBlueCat · 10/01/2020 08:20

They're both beautiful.

I couldn't pick between the two, although I can see Ivy working better as an professional adult's name than Daisy, for some reason.

PlantPotting · 10/01/2020 08:25

Do any of these jump out

Willa
Imogen
Sadie
Edith / Edie
Margaret /Maggie
Clementine/ Clemmie
Roxanne/Roxanna
Pearl
Delilah
Ottilie /Ottie
Cora
Eliza
Jemima
Holly

OldEvilOwl · 10/01/2020 09:03

I actually like them both. Maybe Ivy though as there are quite a few Daisy's?

OldEvilOwl · 10/01/2020 09:03

I love Esme for a girl too

MadamePewter · 10/01/2020 09:04

Daisy. My favourite name

PrincessHoneysuckle · 10/01/2020 09:04

Ivy.A lot of people know had named their dog daisy so that puts me off.

Savannaha · 10/01/2020 09:15

Definitely Ivy. Daisy is cute for a little girl but not a teenager/grown adult.

PsychosonicCindy · 10/01/2020 09:30

Daisy is prettier and fine for a grown woman.
Daisy Duke!
Daisy Donovan!
Also being she's born in March Daisy is more spring-like

Mol5 · 10/01/2020 09:52

I love both names, but think Ivy is becoming very popular now - so for that reason alone i'd go for Daisy

timetochangeagainforever · 10/01/2020 10:07

How about Iris? I love that name but my last is a boy! Daisy has been very popular where I live for many years and Ivy similarly for past few years.

MarshaBradyo · 10/01/2020 10:08

Daisy

kenandbarbie · 10/01/2020 10:20

I prefer Ivy as it is more unusual than Daisy.

dreamsmama · 10/01/2020 10:55

I love both! I would say I prefer Daisy though đŸ˜ƒ I was going to call mine Maisie if he was a little girl x

MrsRocket · 10/01/2020 11:08

I think Daisy is cute and suits all stages of life. I struggle to imagine a 20/30/40 year old called Ivy

DailyFailAreTwats · 10/01/2020 11:45

Daisy. I feel that Ivy is very trendy right now as a Granny name.

Peachbubble · 10/01/2020 11:56

I prefer Daisy

nowaypose · 10/01/2020 12:26

Ivy, it’s my DD’s name and it really wasn’t popular at all when she was born almost 9 years ago. Sad it’s become so popular but still love it.

mamablondie · 10/01/2020 14:53

They’re both very popular where I am. I’ve encountered more Daisy(s) than Ivys even though it’s further down the UK names chart. Personally popularity wouldn’t both me but if you’re really keen to avoid then I wouldn’t choose either.

What about:

Primrose
Jasmine
Bluebell

All flowers but less popular :)

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 10/01/2020 15:04

I’m not a huge fan of either, sorry! Whenever I hear Ivy my brain puts ‘F’ at the end, and I think Daisy is a bit cutesy, it’s sweet for a child but I’m not sure how I’d feel about being called Daisy now (aged 33).
Could you use Margaret/Marguerite and call her Daisy as a nn so she has other options when she’s older if she wants them?

NoSauce · 10/01/2020 22:04

Daisy. Ivy is awful.

Why do people on here keep suggesting Willa? When did it become popular? It’s such a weak and insignificant girls name not to mention awful.
