There's a thing called a Blakey which is a little iron stud you put on shoes to make the soles last longer.

Easier to pronounce?

PlasticPatty · 25/11/2019 20:28

Horrible.

Blackley would be better. Harpurhey. Collyhurst, even.

How about Hale? If it's twins, Hale and Sale.

SilverySurfer · 25/11/2019 20:58

Hideous, as is nevaeh.

imfreeezing · 25/11/2019 21:12

God NO this is very similar to my mother's maiden name and I can't pronounce it properly!

Blake is nice enough

MollyHuaCha · 26/11/2019 00:14

Terrible name

Hayls17 · 26/11/2019 21:13

No. I like Blake though.

HatingTheBigShow · 26/11/2019 21:44

Looks like two names needlessly joined together. Have you considered Brangelina? :D

CAG12 · 27/11/2019 10:16

But why though? What is the fascination with trying to come up with super induvidual names?

My friend is called Blaize. She hates it.

30to50FeralHogs · 27/11/2019 10:28

No sorry, Blakesley as a first name is terrible. Blake is nice but I know some people are snobby about names like that. Blakey just sounds like flaky and reminds me of those metal things on your shoes that make you sound like a tap dancer!

If you’re going to go with Nevaeh then you need to spell it ‘properly’ (as in Heaven spelled backwards) not Neveah, which is easier to pronounce but not how the name originally came about 20 years ago, and so meaningless.

If there’s one thing worse than being lumbered with a strange name that’s difficult to spell already, it’s having it on your birth certificate with another even more wrong spelling.

CravingCheese · 27/11/2019 14:09

My friend is called Blaize. She hates it.

Blaise however is lovely. (for a boy, not a girl.)

CAG12 · 27/11/2019 14:29

Shes a girl!

TurquoiseDress · 28/11/2019 00:32

Er no

MandeLular · 29/11/2019 17:04

Nope. But Blake is fine.

DelphiniumBlue · 29/11/2019 17:08

Hahaha

doritosdip · 29/11/2019 17:09

People will assume that Blake for a girl is after Blake Lively. I think it's fine for a boy but not great on a girl.

Nevaeh- just no

Chocmallows · 29/11/2019 17:09

Absolutely awful

Chocmallows · 29/11/2019 17:10

As bad as Chardonnay

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/11/2019 17:17

Bexley is a great name imo. Blakelsey is a mouthful.

Pinkblueberry · 29/11/2019 17:17

Blake is nice. Blakely would be pretty naff. Blakesly though.... have you even tried saying it out loud?? What are you thinking?

helpmum2003 · 29/11/2019 17:19

No

PineappleDanish · 29/11/2019 18:43

Absolutely not.

And it doesn't matter if it;s a boy or a girl.

doritosdip · 29/11/2019 21:57

I've been thinking about the name since I replied. Have you tried to combine 2 names (say Blake and Lesley/Blake and Lee) and come up with Blakesley?

PutThatDown10 · 02/12/2019 06:02

Blake is an awful name, Blakesley is even worse. Nevaeh is such a joke of a name, I think it's just trashy.

Sexnotgender · 02/12/2019 23:02

Awful.

ncqtime · 02/12/2019 23:07

Try hard, weird, ridiculous
