I need an unusual, quirky, pretty, girl’s name, and quick.

Baby girl due very soon. I already have 2 sons and choosing a girl’s name is so much harder!

I like more modern names mostly (with the exception of names like Hazel and Cassia) not a huge fan of say Eleanor for example.
Something that’s unusual, a bit quirky and has personality but is also pretty. I mean don’t we all want that? (For ex one of my friends has a Nova which I’ve always quite liked but not a fan of other astrological names) Don’t want anything too ridiculous though. I imagine myself saying to a teacher ‘hi my name is X’ and think whether I’d like saying that or not!

Please help! I’ll take any suggestions. Nothing is stupid, just help a struggling, overly fussy with names, mum. There are plenty of names I like but none that I just think yes, that’s my baby’s name.

Winner gets a mars bar. Unless you’re vegan. Okay I’ll stop talking now - I clearly need to go to bed.

Thank you so much for replies all! My sons are August and Greyson (very marmite names on here). Some really good suggestions, please keep more coming!

How funny I was going to suggest Winter but it's probably too matchy with August?

Remmy
Tula
Dolly
Lettie
Ariadne
Arrietty

And if you don't mind pronunciations that people might not get right naturally m, out family favourite Irish names are:

Saoirse
Aisling
Caoimhe
Aoife

Congrats on the impending arrival of baby girl!

Are there any places that are meaningful to you that would make a good name?

Holiday villages etc?

For me, places could be Pebensey, Quimper, Vienna, Sarn, Carno etc none of which sound appealing but you might have better ones.

Quite liking Willow at the minute... but not sure yet. When I’ve finally decided I’ll let yous all know.

@ThatCurlyGirl you know what I do like Winter. There was a girl a while back on this morning called Wynter which I quite like too Blush

But think winter and August is a bit of a no go

@03Spinderellacutituponetime

There are two Kaya’s in my child’s school and it’s tiny!

I'm dying to know where snouts you are and what kind of families they come from, also it's a unisex name so I'm curious if it's more girls or not.

I'd never heard of it but wanted a name like Cai(o) because I love Welsh names and this was my favourite even though it was a boys name.

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 09/09/2019 18:15

I've come across a few female wyatt's actuallynosauce so no need to be so bitchy
