Hart? Or is she on her way out?

DH and I really love the name Miranda for our baby due in October, but I'm worried that it's too much associated with Miranda Hart. What do you think? If it helps, we don't live in the UK so she isn't well known here but our families and friends are UK-based.

I love it. Agree re The Tempest. Wouldn’t think Hart now and I seriously doubt anyone will in 10 years when your daughter might care. Go for it OP!

I think Miranda Rights! Wouldn't stop me using it though

My DD is named Miranda and nobody has ever made a reference to Ms Hart, I think most people assume she's named after The Tempest, which is the case.

I don't think of anyone in particular. But don't see why Miranda Hart would be a negative connection anyway. Almost any name you choose will be someone else's name too it doesn't really matter.

You say Miranda, I say mind that you pronounce it MIranda as in "mirror" and not M-er-anda as is meringue, and that you insist that others do too!

Then I say The Tempest, Miranda Richardson, and what a beautiful name.
