We are both fussy with names and I think we have finally decided on Morgan. I love it for either (don't know what we are having but will be finding out at my 20 week scan in 2 weeks) but I think it is more of a girls name, what do you guys think?

I love it for both and think it wod suit either equally 😊

glitterfarts · 18/07/2019 16:53

I think it's truly unisex. And I like it, for both sexes.

devilishlygood · 18/07/2019 17:06

I knew a girl Morgan at school...she was an interesting character. It would put me off the name for girls, but I can understand why you’d like it.

I work with a bloke who’s surname is Morgan, he gets called Morgs. Which is less appealing...

It’s an interesting concept to me, that this is a truly unisex name for me too. Neither girl nor boy but both. Hmmm.... 😊

KatieMurr · 18/07/2019 17:11

I've never met a Morgan so thankfully no one has put us off the name (as like you say if I met someone called that and I didn't like them or would put me off them).

After watching CSI and there being a Morgan in that (girl) and liking Derek Morgan from Criminal Minds (who gets called Morgan) kinda made us like the name. My husband being a huge car fan helps him like the name too

I really don't like it. It rhymes with organ.

feelingverylazytoday · 18/07/2019 17:23

I think it sounds ugly, especially for a girl.

cushioncovers · 18/07/2019 17:27

It's a boys name in my opinion. But I only know of Morgan Freeman the actor.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 18/07/2019 17:30

I know a girl named Morgan.

Tricky to nickname if that matters

Awrite · 18/07/2019 17:30

My daughter had a girl Morgan in her nursery class and my son had a boy Morgan at his Beavers.

Nice name. Prefer it for a girl.

BobTheFishermansWife · 18/07/2019 17:33

I like it for both.

KatieMurr · 18/07/2019 17:50

Haha thanks didn't think it rhymes with organ, hmmm. I also completely forgot about Morgan Freeman too haha.

Things to think about anyway.

I love it.

Magellan50 · 18/07/2019 17:58

Prefer it as a boy's name but only because of a female Morgan that I know and don't like. If you like it, go for it.

userabcname · 18/07/2019 18:07

I have taught both boy and girl Morgans. I think it's great as a unisex name.

CloserIAm2Fine · 18/07/2019 18:27

I’ve known Morgans of both genders and would probably only assume gender if I had other information to go on.

I don’t love the name but it’s perfectly fine and I think it is genuinely unisex.

There is a female gymnast called Morgan Hurd who was world champion a few years ago.

SallyWD · 18/07/2019 18:36

I only know a make Morgan

SallyWD · 18/07/2019 18:36

Male!

MikeUniformMike · 18/07/2019 18:43

Boys name. Morg the org

MikeUniformMike · 18/07/2019 18:43

Morgane or Morgana for a girl.
If you have a cornish connection you could use Mawgan

stucknoue · 18/07/2019 18:55

I think it's mostly a surname, but the only first name Morgan I know is male

MirandaGoshawk · 18/07/2019 18:57

It's OK for both. I prefer Morgana, for the King Arthur connection.

waitWhatNow · 18/07/2019 18:58

I know two Morgan's...one female and one male. You know it never occurred to me that they had a unisex name! It suits both!

diddlediddle · 18/07/2019 19:00

Bit chav? 😮

GaraMedouar · 18/07/2019 19:01

I like it for both. I think of Morgan Freeman (and have to say it in his voice!😁) but also like it for a girl - a nice strong name.
