Daisy.

Kashali · 08/07/2019 12:44

Elsie, definitely

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/07/2019 12:45

I know its not the same as Elsie, but to incorporate both you could always go with Daisy Ellen which is similar to Elsie.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/07/2019 12:46

Daisy.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 08/07/2019 12:46

Elsie! Daisy is sooooo popular

Ginandplatonic · 08/07/2019 12:50

Daisy. Not sure this thread's going to help you much OP. Grin

SallyWD · 08/07/2019 12:55

Daisy. Is it that popular? I only know one who's 8.

EAIOU · 08/07/2019 13:07

Daisy. Think its gorgeous and delicate

tisonlymeagain · 08/07/2019 13:10

I always see people say Daisy is popular and I've never come across someone, adult or child called Daisy in my life!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 08/07/2019 13:12

Daisy. It is a cheerful, sunny name.

Elsie is a cross old lady name. Or else.

bobstersmum · 08/07/2019 13:21

I've got a Daisy so biased! She suits it perfectly, she loves being outside and she's so cheerful.

WouldHAVEcouldHAVEshouldHAVE · 08/07/2019 13:24

Elsie! Don’t like Daisy. I know quite a few and one of them who is a teenager is a quite large (in size), tomboy. Never has a name suited someone less.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/07/2019 13:30

Elsie is a cross old lady name

The old lady I used to know wasn't particularly cross, except about having been called 'Elsie' which according to her was a 'housemaid's name'.

That particular objection hopefully doesn't pertain in the 21st century TBF.Grin

BBInGinDrinking · 08/07/2019 13:30

We know 3 Daisies locally. I would choose Elsie. I definitely prefer it, and it seems to be less frequent which is important to me. I also wanted names which would suit the DCs as children, but also help them be 'taken seriously' as adults - again, Elsie would be my choice for this, but it depends what vibe you're after, OP.

happytobemrsg · 08/07/2019 13:35

Looove Elsie. DH hates it Grin

Fatkins · 08/07/2019 13:50

Daisy

Namechangedonceagain · 08/07/2019 14:44

I love both! Daisy is less common at the moment

Champy87 · 08/07/2019 16:10

They are both lovely but I think Elsie is a bit trendy and fits into the “old lady chic” category which is currently popular. Daisy tends to be popular across generations which I think is a good thing as it’s less fashionable if that makes sense. My great grandmother (would be 125) was Daisy, as is my best friend who Is 30. They are the only two I know.

MikeUniformMike · 08/07/2019 16:15

Daisy

AverageMummy · 08/07/2019 16:24

Daisy is more common at 0.3% of babies at 18th place
Elsie at 0.25% of babies at 28th place

So I wouldn’t be swayed by that really.

I think both are lovely but Elsie probably gets my vote

georgialondon · 08/07/2019 16:27

Elsie!

Shadow1234 · 08/07/2019 17:19

Definitely Elsie
