What are your thoughts on these names?

Never heard of Audrina, but you’d probably end up calling her Audrey anyway. Audrey is nice.

Aubrey (if you have a boy?) seems a bit old-fashioned to me but I might be out of touch!

RuthW · 29/06/2019 13:40

Audrina is lovely. Don't like Audrey and Aubrey is a boy's name imo.

ThaliaLove · 29/06/2019 15:57

Love Audrey and Audrina. X

Matleavemadam · 29/06/2019 16:35

Prefer Audrey. I know an Aubrey that gets shortened to Bree if that puts you off.

Mammyloveswine · 29/06/2019 16:42

I love Audrina! The Virginia Andrews book is a bit heavy going though 🤣

AverageMummy · 29/06/2019 16:45

What about Audra? Also beautiful and less fussy
Audrey is lovely
I have always liked Aubrey but here everyone turns their nose up & says it’s a boy’s name

RedFox695 · 29/06/2019 17:28

Audrey is nice, not a fan of Audrina.
Aubrey is a mans name, in fact it's my dads name and he's in his 60's (although I think it's very rare in his age group)

Toodleoopuddle · 29/06/2019 17:43

Love Audrey.

Frith2013 · 29/06/2019 19:06

Aubrey was a large farmer who lived down the road from me - very much a man’s name!

Audrey is fine.

Audrina is obviously made up and very silly.

MikeUniformMike · 29/06/2019 19:28

Don't like any of them. Of the three, Audrey.
Audrina seems made up. Aubrey is a boy's name.

beethebee · 29/06/2019 19:31

Audrina is pretty bad

Audrey's ok

Aubrey is a boy's name and I quite like it for a boy but for a girl it's equivalent to calling them Henry or Michael or something? Confused

macymoos · 29/06/2019 20:13

Just because you haven't heard of a name doesn't mean it's made up Hmm
I think it's the older people commenting about Aubrey being an older mans name as it's very much a popular girls name these days!!

JustTheCrowsAndTheBeef · 29/06/2019 20:19

I’m twenty-nine and I consider Aubrey to be a boys’ name. It has been a male name since at least the eleventh century and used as a female name only in the last thirty years.

flowery · 29/06/2019 20:26

”for a girl it's equivalent to calling them Henry or Michael or something?”

Exactly! Fine for boys’ names for which there isn’t really a girls’ equivalent, but you wouldn’t call a girl Michael when there’s a perfectly serviceable Michelle you could use. Or Charles when you could use Charlotte. Or Aubrey when you could use Audrey...

marcymoos · 29/06/2019 20:48

@JustTheCrowsAndTheBeef I didn't say it wasn't a mans name. I said it's a popular girls name at the moment. Therefore it's a unisex name. The people saying it's a stupid name to call a girl obviously haven't met a lot of baby girls in the last year. Myself and several other posters have said we have met quite a few girls called Aubrey it's really not uncommon

Valaria · 29/06/2019 21:03

I have only met girl Aubrey's didn't realise it was a boys name too 😂

bobbiethebuilder · 29/06/2019 21:06

Audrey is nice

My friend has a baby girl called Aubrey and calls her "Aubs" makes me cringe!!

thedevondumpling · 29/06/2019 21:07

I thought Aubrey was a boys name. Well my FIL was Aubrey, maybe it's changed?

Biscuitsneeded · 29/06/2019 22:11

Aubrey is for boys. Audrey is fine, not so much Audrina. I did once meet an Audrienne and it suited her.

Watersnail · 29/06/2019 22:14

I like Aubrey but as a boys name.

Quintella · 29/06/2019 22:16

I think Aubrey has gone the way of Shirley and Hilary.

Cbeebiesrehab · 29/06/2019 22:17

I like Audrey but I think Audrina nn Audrey is a lovely suggestion too.
I don’t like Aubrey-it was my grandads name. Despite that I don’t understand why so many posters are refusing the fact that it’s unisex? In fact it’s far more popular for girls nowadays with it being ranked 267th for girls and 818th for boys. Can’t argue with the facts-like the name or not, it’s unisex now (one more commonly used for females)

Quintella · 29/06/2019 22:17

I like Audrey best from your list. Aubrey as a girls' name irritates me and Audrina is a reality star name whereas Audrey's pedigree is impeccable.

SemperIdem · 30/06/2019 00:20

I don’t like Audrina at all.

Audrey is lovely if you lean towards the Audrey Hepburn connection, rather than the Audrey Roberts one (or for me, the absolute weapon I work with, very off putting).

Aubrey - boy’s name. The only Aubrey I know is a boy.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 30/06/2019 00:22

I love Audrey.

Hate audrina.

Aubrey will always be a boys name to me. (A lovely boys name though.)
