Just no. Poor kid.

daisyboocantoo · 05/06/2019 20:10

Harrowing

Atalune · 05/06/2019 20:13

What about Harlow instead for a girl?

HarryDaylight · 05/06/2019 20:15

It's absolutely bloody terrible, up there with Chardonnay and Chlamydia.

Watchingthetelly · 05/06/2019 20:17

Dreadful

Susannach · 05/06/2019 20:40

No. Harlow if she must. Or Yarrow for an unusual nature name?

whatscuterthanasleepingbaby · 05/06/2019 20:42

Our father who art in heaven,
Harrow be thy name

Thequaffle · 05/06/2019 20:42

Ooh no.

Persea · 05/06/2019 20:43

Just no, for all the reasons others have said.

mogtheexcellent · 05/06/2019 20:44

Grew up there. Was pretty shit.

ChinAirTakingOver · 05/06/2019 20:44

Harrow is a London borough. It’s...in...not somewhere that would inspire me to make my baby after...

InfiniteCurve · 05/06/2019 20:45

As an avid fantasy reader "Harrow" just says minion of the dark one, possibly either undead or a robot.
Please don't inflict it on a sweet little baby...

What are her reasons for using this as a name? Is it a family surname massage wants it for sentimental reasons? Or does the place have special memories for her?

managedmis · 05/06/2019 20:53

Sparrow

taylorlynn · 05/06/2019 20:54

Harlow is surely what she meant ??

Time40 · 05/06/2019 20:58

Oooh, fab name!

Other good ones would be Bromsgrove, Surbiton and Edgware.

ErrolTheDragon · 05/06/2019 21:00

Tell her to look up the word in a dictionary and give her head a wobble.

And the boys' school connotation doesn't help.

ShutTheFridgeUp · 05/06/2019 21:02

Isn't that how the Cadbury's parrot said hello?

ErrolTheDragon · 05/06/2019 21:04

Synonyms: distress, trouble, afflict, grieve, torment, torture, crucify, rack, sear, pain, wound, mortify, cause agony to, cause suffering to;

Is she anticipating unforgettably bad childbirth, or troubled teens?Confused

starzig · 05/06/2019 21:07

I like it, but think it more for a boy.

homemadegin · 05/06/2019 21:13

Those that like it, genuine question, why would you use a word that means distress? PFB mum of very very very long awaited baby here struggling to understand that.

WhiteDust · 05/06/2019 21:16

FFS! Tell her to google the word! Grin

elQuintoConyo · 05/06/2019 21:17

Sounds like the vicar in Princess Bride saying 'hello' Grin

Terrible name for a girl, or boy!

moonpiggle · 05/06/2019 21:22

Sounds daft.
