Not weird but very dated. The only Kayes I know are in their 50s

isabellerossignol · 16/04/2019 03:27

I quite like it.

madeyemoodysmum · 16/04/2019 03:34

I like it.

Hotterthanahotthing · 16/04/2019 03:55

It's fine but why stick an e on the end?

Alicewond · 16/04/2019 03:59

No

Alicewond · 16/04/2019 04:00

I would like Kay

sevenyears · 16/04/2019 04:02

Dated and boring sorry. I would hate to be a Kaye.

Divgirl2 · 16/04/2019 04:03

I think it's dated - like Carol and Bryan, not in a trendy Iris and Alfred way. It's fairly inoffensive though if that's what your after.

Prefer Kay as a spelling though.

MercyBodle · 16/04/2019 04:18

I think it's kind of retro-50s - that's to give it a good spin. The sound is fine - it's just very associated with women now in their 60-70s. Since I know several Kay/Kayes I can't get over that dated association.

Calixtine · 16/04/2019 04:42

I don’t like it. Dated and dull. I prefer Fay/e.

GiantPretzel · 16/04/2019 05:03

The only Kaye I know who is my age — mid 40s — is always mortified by her name and says it’s a name from our parents’ generation. Still too soon for it to be granny chic, though.

mathanxiety · 16/04/2019 06:05

Love it. I would spell it Kay though.
I put it in the same category as Rita and I hope it has a comeback.

I think it has much more substance than Fay/e.

Peachbubble · 16/04/2019 06:08

Not keen

FabulouslyFab · 16/04/2019 06:10

Kay. I love it.

LittleMissMummaBear · 16/04/2019 06:48

Never heard before, but I don’t really like it...how about Faye or Kaia? They are much nicer imo x

Yutes · 16/04/2019 06:51

I like Kaye. I know a few who are definitely not in their fifties.

Fucket · 16/04/2019 06:55

My first thoughts, isn’t Kaye the name of the young Knight From the legend of King Arthur? Arthur is his assistant, forgets his sword at the tournament, finds the one in the stone, pulls it out to give to Kaye?

In my head it’s a good name for a boy or girl.

justilou1 · 16/04/2019 06:56

Sounds a little lunch lady, if I’m honest.

FenellaMaxwell · 16/04/2019 07:03

No. Kay is slightly better but still rather awful.

Dull and dated.

Raspberry88 · 16/04/2019 07:26

I love it, but definitely spelt Kay.

Toodleoopuddle · 16/04/2019 07:27

I think it's one of those which should be left in the past.

NancyJoan · 16/04/2019 07:28

I would spell it Kay. And I like it.

Tiramisu1 · 16/04/2019 07:29

I've not heard it before but Kaye/Kay sounds pretty and makes a refreshing change from all the Ellies, Evies etc. So it's s yes from me!
