I find boys names really difficult. I don't like anything too "unique" but all the sort of common ones I just don't love either .

Cooper , Fletcher and Spencer have came up in discussion and we both seem to like these . Any suggestions of something similar ?

Or any other suggestions of names you love that aren't so uncommon they're wierd lol

Hmm not really liking any of the surnamey suggestions . Think it might just be a fluke that the 3 I mentioned are surnames lol.

I think we'll end up going with something different , just don't want anything that's over used .

Girls names were not this difficult 🙈 If this one had been another girl we would have a bunch to choose from lol

Is there anything on your girl list that could be unisex or has a male equivalent?

I'm in Scotland too and one of my favourite boys names is Keir, followed by Atholl. Scotland has some amazing lochs and mountains with great names. We just called our son Ben in honour of all the fab mountains. You could go for Munro if you only want to recognise the really tall ones Wink

These are names on a similar theme to OPs suggestions I've heard recently at a Baby Bookbug Group.

Hmm what about Parker? Huxley? Carson?

IHeartKingThistle · 12/02/2019 22:29

Bailey is always taken apart on here but I really like it. Also Brodie.

IHeartKingThistle · 12/02/2019 22:30

Oh and one of my all time favourite Year 7 classes had a Hugo, a Jethro, a Conrad and a Hartley.

SinkGirl · 12/02/2019 22:34

For some reason when I scanned the tread titles and saw yours my brain misread it and I thought it was about Mad Men, so you could go with Stirling, Cooper, Draper or
Price 😄

I went to a Scottish state Primary school in the 1970s.

We had Roderick, Gulliver, Titus and Keir in the class, along with the usual Mark, Michael, Keith etch.

It's good to be different.

OneStepMoreFun · 13/02/2019 13:12

Chocolate Gulliver is an exceedingly cool name.
I remember we had a Zebedee. He was very naughty and had long hair. His parents were actors.

ReginaPhalange89 · 13/02/2019 13:40

Ooooh Maddox has surprised me , I quite like that! Not sure if I'm put off by the fact I went to school with a guy who had that as a surname though.

Keir is nice , I suggested that before and my OH said no as he had a friend called that
He also said no to Adam last night so that's off the list :( he knows loads of Adams apparently.

I quite like Murray....
