Evangeline? Is it TOO much

My husband and I really like the name Evangeline and it is the first girls name we have both really loved this time round (due in a few months)

I am concerned that as a name it is just TOO flouncy- if you know what I mean? I am dreading telling our parents and getting the dredded eye roll or uncomfortable silence that could ensue.

I love how it sounds and the very wide variety of nicknames that can be used with it as well.

I'm not sure why I feel so self conscious of it as a name because DH and I really like it, maybe I am over thinking things?

Our DD1 is called Rose for context!

I love being an Evangeline. Never met another one. Was weird when Evie became so common but I usually use my full name anyway.

I wasn't a fan but a few years ago I met an Evangeline and she is so lovely that I really like the name now! It's sometimes shortened to Eva by her friends which to me is a much nicer and more natural shortening than Evie.
