Sibling for Edward

Hey! We are currently 32+6 with our second. We are really struggling for names. We don't know gender.
Our son is called Edward. Our son came early and was baby no name for 3 weeks, and it was a nightmare with people continually asking what baby is called, and we only agreed on that because it was the only name both of us were ok with.I would like to be a little bit more organised this time and have a name we both like without settling.
Please give me your opinions on our shortlist and any suggestions you may have
GIRLS - middle names Sylvia Rose or Elizabeth Anne
Alice
Beatrice
Francesca
Katie
Emily

BOYS - middle names Stephen George or Stephen Charles
Robin
Tobias/Toby
Rory
Felix
Hugo

TIA hopefully this baby can have a name in a couple of days :) sprout is loosing its appeal Wink

Sorry I keep dozing off and pressing send... Emily remains my favourite girls name... but for the above reason I don't feel we can use it... It's just on there so I can look at it I think

Edward and Amy or Alice
or
Edward and Hugo

moredoll · 06/02/2019 00:38

Alice
Emily (the same initial thing doesn't seem important to me)

Charles
Rory

Edward and Toby sound like a lovely pair of brothers.
Edward’s sister could easily be the elegant Francesca Elizabeth Smile
Good luck, all the best for the new addition!

Hugh
I would guess due to Hugh Jackmans game this might be popular in a few tears

Francesca Sylvia Rose is beautiful! Absolutely love it.

Also love Rory. Would go with Rory Stephen George as I think it flows well.

Alice or Francesca are my favourites, and I also like Beatrice. Emily and Katie are nice but feel over-used to me. (I do like all your girl names though).

I like all your boy names except Robin. Felix and Hugo are my favourites. Hugo is better than Felix followed by Stephen.

Our beautiful daughter arrived on 5th March weighing 5lb 7oz. As hard as we have tried to agree on a name she remains baby no name.
We have narrowed it down to
Alice
Elsie
Francesca
Katie
Lottie ( we can't have Charlotte but can't think of a proper name version of it 😬)
Iris
Who knew that naming babies was so hard!

Katy (with a y)

Congrats Flowers

mumofbeagles · 08/03/2019 11:33

Katie would be with an ie as it has a family meaning.
I love Alice but it's in the top 20 girls names which holds me back from it. However again it has a family meaning. There are pro's and cons for all

Ah i see! Katie then Smile

Alice is too popular for my liking, Lottie seems to be growing in popularity too.

Iris sounds harsh to me, Elsie is 90 and Francesca too fussy.

Katie is perfect

BlueMerchant · 08/03/2019 12:03

Alice Sylvia Rose and Alice Elizabeth are both beautiful op.
There are lots of Katie's where I live. It's a bit meh. I also think of it as a nn.

Peachbubble · 08/03/2019 12:18

Congratulations!

I like Alice (I don't know any baby Alices) and Lottie (Carlotta, Loretta, Liselotte?).

Sessy19 · 08/03/2019 12:57

I like Iris. I like Edward and Iris together!

Well done, and good luck x

TheLovelyOtherDinosaur · 08/03/2019 22:04

Iris isnt as popular as your other choices and quite lovely

SweetButaPsycho · 09/03/2019 00:01

Congratulations!
I agree that Alice goes best with Edward. I like Katie as a nickname for Katherine though
