There’s a little one in my family named Nixon. After a type of surfing watch, not the sleazy former president.

FairfaxAikman · 26/01/2019 17:23

I know a Wilbur and a Ralph (not pronounced Rafe)

KitKat1985 · 26/01/2019 17:27

I know a toddler called Lemon.

habibihabibi · 26/01/2019 17:29

Xanaxi
Which to me is very close to Xanax, an drug commonly prescribed for anxiety.

Polkapjs · 26/01/2019 17:29

Fox, Aladdin

3out · 26/01/2019 17:35

A lot of these don’t seem very unusual. I’ve never met a Lemon before though.

I guess some name aren't that out there, but how many people named Chase for example, do you know ?

strangerthongs · 26/01/2019 17:43

Storm
Ziggy
Aurelia (I really don't like it)
Spencer (for a girl, I think its a boy's name and rather pretentious for a girl)

What's everyone's thoughts on Lila? I just keep thinking of li-lets or delilah. Also kaley, pronounced kah leh (but I think people will think its kayleigh when its not)

BrazenHusky74 · 26/01/2019 17:48

From what the mother bellowed across the village hall, she had named her son "Oi, you little b***d". It turned out that she had 5 children all called the same thing.

masktaster · 26/01/2019 17:50

stranger I know a female Spencer who's in her 30s. It struck me as unusual when I met her, but it really does suit her.

The playgroup I take DS to has a couple of the names already listed, and DS has a name that could be listed along the lines of "who calls a baby Martin?!" (Though his isn't Martin), along with the usual suspects Grin

ButterflyOfFreedom · 26/01/2019 17:50

I quite like some of these - Clayton, Bran, Flynn...

I've come across:
Bambi
Cassia
Aurelia
Octavia
Liana
JD
(All girls)

Drake
Blue
Humphrey
Clason
Boyd
(All boys)

WhatASmashingBlouse · 26/01/2019 17:54

Lotta is a German name. It's not unusual it's just not English. Like a lot of the names listed here.

BellMcEnd · 26/01/2019 17:59

Manfred
Bob (not Robert or Bobby: just Bob)
Crystal-Alice (never ever abbreviated)

Chriss82 · 26/01/2019 18:38

Cupcake! (Girl)

And we've been stressing as our DD is called Alexa and thanks to amazon the name has a whole new meaning. However reading some of the names on here I feel relaxed about it!

erja · 26/01/2019 18:41

I've come across a Dandi (girl), Lloyd (boy), Percy (girl) and an Apollo (boy)!

BiggFactHunt · 26/01/2019 18:44

CocoMadwoman

This is going back 8 or 9 years now, but my DD’s toddler group was a sea of little girls with similar names - Isabel, Isabella, Annabel, Ava, Eva, Evie etc

And one little boy called.....Jock grin

I know an 7/8yr old Jock! Maybe there’s 2 of them!

LuggsaysNotaWomen · 26/01/2019 18:48

@MyBreadIsEggy - I know a Khaleesi too!

Jesus suffering Christ there can't be two, surely?!

Ribbonsonabox · 26/01/2019 18:49

Guinevere
Ophelia
Flora
Raven
Undine

Florian
Bodhi
Phoenix
Jasper
Adder
Bab

Genuine names from toddlers round here

Scandaloso · 26/01/2019 18:54

I'd bet there's far more than 2 Khaleesis in existence. Character names (okay it's her title!) from the biggest fantasy hit of the day are always a thing.
