This was our shortlist that we were going to spend the next few weeks whittling down. Now we need to to it in a rush. Thoughts please. We want a strong name that’s unusual without being weird.

Eliza
Nina
Ariana
Tessa
Frieda
Alma
Theodora
Isadora

Thank you for your comments.

We have narrowed it down to:

Isadora June (June is a family name)
Nina Elizabeth (also a family name)

Out of those two what do you think?

Isadora June

FloatingthroughSpace · 25/01/2019 23:54

Nina Elizabeth.

Isadora is such a mouthful, she'll end up as Izzy along with all the Isabels and Isabellas.

Or how about just Dora as you had that on two of your names?

MollyHuaCha · 25/01/2019 23:56

Isadora June

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 26/01/2019 00:08

Nina Elizabeth

(A famous Isadora was Isadora Duncan who was strangled when her scarf got caught in a car door. It's what I always think of when I hear the name)

Butterfly84 · 26/01/2019 00:09

Eliza or Theodora!

Butterfly84 · 26/01/2019 00:09

Sorry, just seen your last post.

Nina Elizabeth 100%

Nina Elizabeth

MissMoodyMoo · 26/01/2019 00:17

Isadora June 😍😍😍😍 I think nina is a bit meh!!

With isadora you could have Dora, Dory, issie, addy for nn or pet name

Yulebealrite · 26/01/2019 00:18

Nina Elizabeth.

Else She'll definitely be called Izzy which is really common at the moment.

MrsBertBibby · 26/01/2019 00:21

Nina all the way. I wanted Nina if I had a girl. Like Nina Bawden, the novelist.

PinkAvocado · 26/01/2019 00:25

The name meaning of Nina in Native American is ‘mighty warrior’ and in Spanish, ‘little girl’ (so google says).

Sounds perfect for your daughter!

FriedaTheBreeder · 26/01/2019 01:15

Yes I love the many meanings of Nina @PinkAvocado.

If we go with Isadora we expect to shorten it to Dora or Dory rather than Izzy but I appreciate that we can’t necessarily control the nicknames that may evolve.

Hohofortherobbers · 26/01/2019 21:34

I like Nina June more than Nina Elizabeth

SemperIdem · 26/01/2019 21:36

Nina Elizabeth

RosiePosies · 26/01/2019 22:15

I like Isadora, but it reminds me of Wizadora from the 90's.

Nina is gorgeous.
