What are the ones that you ruled out because you weren't brave enough to use them? What are the names that you really like but wouldn't ever be brave enough to use in future?

Im just going to leave all the names i love on here. Most of these im not brave enough to use but future child #3 will be called something from these lists! ds is Oliver and dd Evelyn- 8 and 6.(gained more popularity over the years but ive loved these names forever and mean something to me) I love names with v in but not necessary to complete sib set. I have a fem list and male list but a few are interchangable with the addition/alteration of a few letters. Also many of these are modified family names or inspiration from names that mean a lot to us so dont be too harsh please Blush - theyre sort of clunky funky style, well known but not often heard (where i am)

I like to sort them in sounds (lots of these are nickname versions of the longer form- these are added for middles- i like shorter middles)

From the Mummy of a Persephone & a Zipporah, please use your ‘not brave enough’ names ladies (except these two, obviously 😉). It makes the world a more interesting place! I’m always SO glad we did & always have lovely comments from people we meet.

Well I got my way and my little boy who is 9 days old is Called Bligh ❤️
We have had amazing feedback on our name choice even though very unusual.
The bounty lady who took our hospital pics said it's her first Bligh out of 20600 babies that she has photographed 🥰 and luckily we are the sort who doesn't care if people don't like it...because we do ❤️

@Rodenhide, my DD is named Annika. I love it and we've had some nice comments over the years.

aliceandkids77 · 15/02/2019 12:34

Scout! I've always adored Scout for a little girl...but I am simply not brave enough! I'm naming baby no2 Scarlett though, and I heard Scout can be a nickname for it...still not sure if we can do it though! Xx

I posted on here a while ago when I was pregnant with my first (who I called Stanley), 5 months later and I am pregnant again! So thinking of names.

My guilty pleasure list this time consists of:

Atlas
Leonard
Boaz
Bodhi
Sylvester

Sloane
Odette
Marigold

Gwenllian. If I was still in Wales I'd do it, but no-one in England will be able to pronounce it.

We're pretty much decided on first names, but I've taken lots of inspiration for middle names from this list!

Roman
Athena

Neither are really out there but they’re just not the type of name we’d actuslly use

Some lovely names on this thread - Annika was on my girl list (we’re having another boy!), love Myrtle too.

Thursten
Hal
Eric
Emilio
Daryl
Sure there’s more I can’t remember!

Sorrow, I think it sounds lovely but I would never use it because of its meaning.
