What are the unusual names on your baby name list that you aren't brave enough to use?

What are the ones that you ruled out because you weren't brave enough to use them? What are the names that you really like but wouldn't ever be brave enough to use in future?

Oh yay! My DD's name has been mentioned. Not met another since her birth many years back and I'm so glad we were "brave". We get lovely comments and we especially love the meaning.

@rootsandbranches are you serious about Lettice? When I was young there was a comic strip about a gawky girl called Lettice Leafe.

I love Scout but very much doubt I’ll convince DH, also I’m having another boy and the general consensus is it must be for a girl, though I think it could work!

Winter for a girl. I absolutely love it and I'm so sad I can't use it. I would, but with our last name, it sounds like a log cabin or shed or something along those lines, just doesn't go 😫

Oh I also love Cece Valentine. As first and middle name. Baby is due end of Feb, so I'm allowed Valentine as a middle name of it's early and comes on Valentine's Day. But DP has vetoed Cece.

Thought of another I like but wouldn't be brave enough to use - Dinah.

We nicknamed my bump Horatio before DS was born. We went for a classic boy's name in the end but I'd grown to love it!
