Opinions on Juno?

I think it’s elegant while being spunky and would balance it out with a very feminine middle name like Evangeline or Isadora. What do you think?

I love Juno Evangeline. I loved that film too.

LovelyBranches · 05/01/2019 23:08

I love the name. It was on my list but DH wasn’t keen. If we were ever to have another dd I would almost certainly push for her to be called Juno

MitziK · 05/01/2019 23:09

If you like 'v' names, what about Juno Minerva?

Keeps it within the same historical belief system.

umpteenpinecones · 05/01/2019 23:10

It is my neighbour's dog's name. A bonkers labradoodle. So sorry, but that name just makes me think of the dog who is, quite frankly, a basket case.

riotlady · 05/01/2019 23:17

Love it!

WhatASmashingBlouse · 05/01/2019 23:18

I love Juno Evangeline! Both names on my list too

llangennith · 05/01/2019 23:21

Isn't it a film? And a magazine for parents?

MrsFoxPlus4 · 05/01/2019 23:21

I like Juno don’t find it pretentious at all. Don’t like either middle names if I had to choose I’d choose Evangeline

MrsFoxPlus4 · 05/01/2019 23:22

I do know a Great Dane with that name but I also know dogs with human names so it doesn’t really matter lol

val3ntina · 05/01/2019 23:24

I didn’t realise how much of a dog name it was! The dogs I know mostly have names that end in ie- Lottie, Millie, Nellie. Oh and Dave- my mum’s lovely lab Grin

@umpteenpinecones the canine Juno closest to us is an absolute maniac of a dog too - which is odd because I find it such a serene sounding name!

MaggieFS · 05/01/2019 23:32

I'm not familiar with the name Juno (therefore any classical origins of the name) but as a Spanish speaker I'd assumed it to be a boy's name Blush

Astronica · 05/01/2019 23:35

Juno is a great name! Though I don't love Evangeline or Isadora I do think Juno Evangeline works.

val3ntina · 05/01/2019 23:38

Ok so viewed as generally positive, albeit sligthly doggy, my only issue with it is that I’m concerned it’s a bit matchy with my dd2 who is Margot (with middle name Elisabeth which is why we can’t use that as a middle name for Juno). Do you think the o endings make the 2 names too matchy?

OneStepMoreFun · 05/01/2019 23:45

I like it.

moredoll · 06/01/2019 03:58

Honestly? Yes, but I'm sure I would get over it quickly if I knew them.

pollywobble · 06/01/2019 04:04

Middle name could be Watt 😉

Sophronia · 06/01/2019 08:06

I like Juno Evangeline

WereYouHareWhenIWasFox · 06/01/2019 08:10

It’s very overused, I think every other kid under the age of 10 is called Juno. However I love June, it is much cooler.

RedDwarves · 06/01/2019 08:16

It's ranked 514th. It cannot be "overused".

Phebes · 06/01/2019 09:35

It does seem a bit “themey” with a sister called Margot... It’s a nice name though; I know 2 under 5 plus 2 dogs!

calpop · 06/01/2019 09:44

Tbose are national stats. It is VERY popular in London, particularly amongst hipster types.

Moondancer73 · 06/01/2019 09:49

I absolutely love it, it would be my first choice for a girl if I was ever lucky enough to have another baby

itsalloverforanotheryear · 06/01/2019 10:01

I love it but thought it was a male name!

val3ntina · 06/01/2019 10:02

calpop really? I’m in south London myself and have never met a baby/child Juno
