ARGH - Ive just had my fourth. A lovely little boy who will join Katie, Liam and Nina. We struggling to find a boy's name that goes with these other names but thinking maybe

or perhaps

Ah, thanks so much for all your thoughts and suggestions.

I am completely torn between Callum and Jamie I think - really like both of them though sometimes fear that Jamie is a bit too like Katie (but she is a Katherine so might end up Kate / Katherine as she grows up...)

I also worry that Callum is a bit too like Liam, but do love it as a name, and like possibility to shorten it to Cal if he wants...

He's now five days old - will need to start trying to make up my mind.

Also tempted by Rory (though seems increasingly popular these days) and - wild card - do love Grayson - but my partner is vetoing that one!! Also liked Roddy (Roderick for full) but again my partner won't allow it!

Rory is lovely.

sheswhat · 29/11/2018 14:36

James

Icklepup · 29/11/2018 14:40

I'd choose Rory

What about Calvin?

Babytalkobsession · 29/11/2018 14:51

Call him Jamie. It's a lovely name, and to my ears doesn't sound too similar to Katie, whereas Callum / Liam do.

Congratulations.

Goostacean · 29/11/2018 15:35

I like Samuel, but if you’re choosing between Jamie and Callum then definitely Jamie (ideally as a nn for James). I also like Rory!

moredoll · 30/11/2018 06:40

Callum or Rory
I think Jamie is too much like Katie

Schmoochypoos · 30/11/2018 06:41

Rory is a brilliant name

ruthietoothie · 30/11/2018 16:52

Oh no - I tried to tot up totals and seems like a pretty even split with some of you saying Jamie and Katie doesn't work, while others reckon Callum and Liam are too alike...

Wonder if there's some other name I should switch to.

Going to try and mull it over during the weekend, and figure out whether he suits Jamie or Callum more.

Another wild card would be 'Sandy' - with Alexander as his full name...

I like Jamie and it goes with your other names.
Grayson is nice, shame your OH doesn’t like it.

reeny19 · 30/11/2018 16:55

All three are lovely, pick one out of a hat at random!

daisypond · 30/11/2018 17:04

I love Calum/Callum. I know a few adult Calums and they are all super, clever men, so that has biased it for me. But I like Scottish names in general. This would be my first choice but I'd spell it as Calum. I do think it's too similar alongside Liam, though.
I like James a lot but I'm not so keen on Jamie. And the Katie/Jamie I-E matching endings put me off.
Samuel is OK too, but I like the other two more.
Rory is great too. This actually might pip Calum to the post.
I like Alexander (Sandy) too.

JaiNotJay · 30/11/2018 17:07

They are all lovely names OP. I think you need a wee Sandy to complete the set.

Icklepup · 30/11/2018 17:22

Sandy!!

Winterwonderland12 · 30/11/2018 17:24

I assumed Sandy is a girl's name. Short for Sandra.

Snowwontbelong · 30/11/2018 17:26

Miles!!

ruthietoothie · 30/11/2018 20:56

Hah, I like Miles but don't think it goes with our surname (Bell). This is so tricky!

Find the responsibility of choosing a name quite tough (especially when totally sleep deprived!)

SylvanianFrenemies · 30/11/2018 22:32

Callum is nice, but too close to Liam.

Jamie Bell is an actor, does that matter? Not sure if does, just mentioning.

Sandy Bell sounds like something that would happen if you left your bike on the beach.

Rory is nice.

How about Calvin, Cameron or John?

Ikeameatballs · 30/11/2018 22:38

Freddie
Robbie
Ben
Hugo

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 01/12/2018 07:12

I like Jamie

ruthietoothie · 01/12/2018 17:26

I'm starting to hover more towards Jamie but it's just so hard

BendydickCuminsnatch · 01/12/2018 17:30

Was going to say Joel but pp beat me to it!

ruthietoothie · 02/12/2018 09:12

I had another wild card idea - what do people think to Owen, and how does that go with our other names?

OP posts:
Redskyandrainbows67 · 02/12/2018 09:33

Owen is perfect!

Icklepup · 02/12/2018 11:46

Yes to Owen
