Which one? Baby due soon and can't decide which we like best!

Thanks Thanks Smile

I love it when people get snotty about names that in their eyes, aren't 'proper' and 'traditional' enough, only to get put in their place!! They can be so unnecessarily catty with other people when they post their more unusual names.

I like those names. Rhodri I've not heard of before, so go for that if you want something more unusual.

Hmmmbiscuits · 29/11/2018 11:36

And by the way, I have a different spelling to my name and have to correct people sometimes. It's annoying when people get it terribly wrong, but in most cases it's when people who don't know you read your name out on a form, which doesn't happen often. In the grand scheme of things, it really isn't much of an issue.

pisspawpatrol · 29/11/2018 12:10

Rhodri, Tomos, Harri in that order for my preference.

Also for those saying spell it the English way, or that they didn't know the poster is welsh/in Wales I would have thought it fairly obvious from the Welsh names she listed? How ignorant are you all that you know nothing about Wales, when it is literally one of the four countries making up the UNITED Kingdom?

HerculesTheBercules · 29/11/2018 12:17

Rhodri then Harri the Tomos for me.

lucieloos · 29/11/2018 12:21

Thanks for all the replies! So far we're thinking Rhodri Tomos Smile

Beautiful choice.

SweetheartNeckline · 29/11/2018 12:52

I would love Rhodri for DS due next year. DH's dad was Welsh (Trefor, so his name is sadly out of the running!) but we live in the East Midlands and so many beautiful Welsh names just sound grim in our accent.

Tomos is nice too. 5 years ago I'd have said Harri but there are so many Henry / Harry's where we are so imagine it's very popular in Wales too? Although sometimes names are popular simply because they're so nice!

iklboo · 29/11/2018 14:42

Great choice.

AlliKaneErikson · 30/11/2018 00:28

There are not actually that many Harri/Harrys around here (South Wales Valley north of Newport) Sweetheart. There is my Harri and another
one in dd’s class and I only know of two Harrys, both in other schools. Still, it’s definitely more commonly used than Tomos (DS’ best friend!) or Rhodri.

Picknickers · 30/11/2018 01:25

Oh beautiful choice OP.

MotherOfATeenApprenticeActuary · 02/12/2018 22:11

Beautiful name IMHO OP but then I might be a tiny bit biased!

LovelyBranches · 03/12/2018 12:10

Beautiful choice OP. I know a baby Rhodri and it suits him well. Apparently Rhodri was the name my parents were going to give to me if I was a boy. I wasn’t but I still have a Welshname beginning with Rh.

Flamingosnbears · 03/12/2018 12:14

Rhodri is a great name
