Choosing a name your family will hate

Would you choose a name for your baby if your pretty sure nobody in your family will lile it?

I wanted to call my DS Jett.
Everyone didn't like it and made a fuss.
So I had it as his middle name.
DS is now 7, and loves his middle name and wishes I'd have called him that...
Do what you feel is right, if it suits the baby then that is his name 💙

Yup. We did and now 12 yes later they're all convinced it was their idea in the first place

It depends whether it's unheard of, or a family enemy, or just dire.We are all sorry for baby Mona and honestly thought they were joking.

Once it’s their name it’s just them iyswim. We all thought my nephew’s name was a bit odd, but didn’t say anything (actually fil probably did), but now he’s 5 and I couldn’t imagine him with a different name.

I love the name Rufus, had a dog once called Rufus, a nutty reddish-brown rescue mongrel that clearly had some red setter in there somewhere. Real character.
