Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Creatureofthenight · 24/10/2018 20:11

I think no.

TaggieRR · 24/10/2018 20:11

Not keen.

wildewillow · 24/10/2018 20:12

I love it! I adore nature names!
I plan on using it as a middle name though as not brave enough to use as a first.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 24/10/2018 20:12

I actually like it but I've never gone for it for any of mine.

catsofa · 24/10/2018 20:15

To fawn is a verb. Can't call a kid that, sorry!

MarthasGinYard · 24/10/2018 20:16

As in a deer?

Why

DramaAlpaca · 24/10/2018 20:16

No, not keen at all.

Fern is nice though.

WitBeyondMeasure · 24/10/2018 20:18

Not keen on Fawn but second Fern.

SuperstarDJ · 24/10/2018 20:20

Not keen all but a third vote for Fern.

Woulditbeworth · 24/10/2018 20:21

If I had another DD, she’d be a Fern. I love the name. x

INeedNewShoes · 24/10/2018 20:24

Fern is a lovely name.

Fawn is strange

FogCutter · 24/10/2018 20:25

No.

It's a baby deer or a verb meaning to act like a sycophant over. Not things I would want to name my child after.

How about another nature name like Fern, Flora, Dawn, Autumn, Clover, Hazel....

IHeartKingThistle · 24/10/2018 20:25

I think it's nice, reminds me of Fae which means fairy.

chipshape · 24/10/2018 20:26

Id assume a person called Fawn was Asian if I couldn't see them. Maybe a Chinese person who chose an English name based on how it looks written down rather than what it means. Not necessarily a negative, just my immediate thought.

PuppyMonkey · 24/10/2018 20:29

It’d make me think of fawning over someone. As in being an arse-licker. Sad

FrameyMcFrame · 24/10/2018 20:39

Do you mean Faun?

MsJolly · 24/10/2018 20:40

No just no

TheCbeebiesYellowBlobs · 24/10/2018 20:48

Synonym for beige! Lovely.

MrsGollach · 24/10/2018 20:50

Oh deer/dear

SavoyCabbage · 24/10/2018 20:50

Just what I was thinking, Beige.

JaiNotJay · 24/10/2018 20:52

Nope!

Vanillabloom · 24/10/2018 20:53

My dog is red dawn colour and it just reminds me of that

OwlDoll · 24/10/2018 21:09

Fiadh is the Irish for deer and is quite a popular name in Ireland. It is sometimes spelt Fia as well and pronounced Fee-a.

daisypond · 24/10/2018 21:20

I don't mind it, actually. Maybe because it reminds me of Dawn. But agree that Fern is way nicer.

midsomermurderess · 24/10/2018 21:33

I think of a violent, creepy character in the Smiley books, but that is perhaps a bit niche.
