I really like biblical baby names, however I feel like there are lots of good boy baby names and less variety of girls. If you had to pick a biblical baby name what would your top boy and girl choices be?

Isaac and Lydia

I have 3 biblical named kids already, and some used as a middle name too, so I'm quite limited! Loving all the suggestions though.

Is Esther too "old" sounding?

I think Esther is one of those names that has come back.
I love it, I know a few Esthers of all ages and it seems to work for all ages

I love Daniel, but we have a Danielle in the extended family. I also love Lily (it is in there!) but a close friend just named her LO Lily.

I have a fondness for Keren-happuch, but would never use it. I also like Shelah and Dinah.

Josiah and Martha

Rebecca and Reuben, but not together.
Definitely Rebecca, then if a boy I’d go for Noah

(In truth I wouldn't be brave enough to use the last two).

steppemum · 26/09/2018 10:51

If you like Martha, how about Miriam?

EyeDrops · 26/09/2018 11:10

Following for girl name ideas. My problem is, all the ones I like, I already know people/children with those names! (I know that really shouldn't matter, but I can't help it!)

steppemum · 26/09/2018 11:24

Eyedrops - I knew a girl called Tirzah, I think it is so pretty and is a Biblical name.
Not many others around too!

steppemum · 26/09/2018 11:38

Keturah
Talitha
Atarah

all Biblical and under used!

deptfordgirl · 26/09/2018 11:51

I know a Keturah! I hadn't heard of it but it's lovely.

DammitOedipus · 26/09/2018 11:56

Rebekah
Judas (not usable!)

Flatasapancakenow · 26/09/2018 12:14

I agree eyedrops! That's the problem we are having.
