@stuckinthemiddlewithjude

Nope, 4 generations of Harrys, all Harry on the birth certificate! Harry was very popular in the late C19th, early C20th. But people often "corrected" him about what his name was. Hmm

Mine are
David Frederick
Anthony

Dh i only know what one was called
Frederick George😁

StuckInTheMiddleWithJude · 27/08/2018 14:26

@AtticaRose I bet they did. I'd only realise the connection because of prince Harry. I don't really 'get' it tbh. Harry is a great name

@daisychain01 this is an anonymous forum though? I don't see how anyone's grandads Christian name would make them traceable

Bertram and Bernard

tierraJ · 27/08/2018 14:28

One great grandfather was Reece William, known as Bill, a bare knuckle boxer!!

I like the name but he was not a nice man by all accounts.

@Justtrying I love the nod to Christmas in his middle name 😊

Lots of John/Jack changes, like Henry and Harry I guess. Although I don't quite understand why as they're all the same length

StuckInTheMiddleWithJude · 27/08/2018 14:31

@tierraJ I thought the Reece spelling was a more modern take on the Welsh Rhys. Interesting

Gerald (don't know his middle name if he had one) & Francis Joseph, everyone called him Frank and as a child I was told calling him Francis was not a very good idea.

Other men in that generation roughly in the family tree: Edward Lovel, David Oliver, and also quite a few men who had their mother's maiden name as either their first or middle given name which makes it all look very surname-y in places but was quite popular where I'm from for generations, particularly for oldest boys .

nicycle · 27/08/2018 14:49

John spencer

Edward Thomas

tierraJ · 27/08/2018 14:49
