To go with Freddie Smile can't decide. Any other 'D' name suggestions too please.

Definitely going to have to go with Darcy out of all the names you've listed there. Daisy, Dotty, and Dolly aren't too bad for a little girl. But for an adult? Not so much I feel.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 20/08/2018 03:12

Oh I don't know. Theyre both lovely.
I prefer Daisy for a little girl and Darcy for a women. There fore if suppose Darcy as she'll be a women a lot longer than she'll be a little girl.

Other D names.
Darla. Danielle. Dani. Demi. Debra. Dina
Dana. Delia. Dawn. Dolcie.

SuperstarDJ · 20/08/2018 06:04

Out of the two choices, Daisy. I really really dislike Darcy/Darcey.

AnyaMoondial · 20/08/2018 06:44

Daisy! It’s such a happy name.

lovesugarfreejelly63 · 20/08/2018 06:48

Babyshark, I help run a Mum and Tot Group, we currently have 4 Darcies and only 1 Daisy on the register. Desiree, Dina, Deirdre or Dottie have yet to be registered!

BusterGonad · 20/08/2018 07:05

I personally don't like Darcy but love Daisy.

user1471552178 · 20/08/2018 22:33

Love Darcey :)
Makes me think of the elegant ballerina Darcey Bussell

MikeUniformMike · 20/08/2018 22:55

I love Dotty short for Dorothy. Daisy is nice but I don't like Darcey/Darcy/Darcie.

RavenWings · 21/08/2018 00:57

Darcy. Daisy is very toddler esque.
Delphi is quite pretty.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 21/08/2018 01:15

Love Daisy.

OkPedro · 21/08/2018 01:26

As many pps have said
Your dd won't be a baby or little girl for long
I can't imagine introducing myself as Daisy, as an adult..It sounds ridiculous for an adult

It's a lovely name thoughSmile

I think when naming a child you have to imagine them growing up with that name and give them an alternative they can use as an adult

If you are a celeb and mix in certain circles, it won't matter if your name is Tullulah phoenix Alphonso!

TheDowagerCuntess · 21/08/2018 02:56

No, no, no to Daisy, Dotti, Dolly, etc.

Be reasonable. Would you honestly thank your parents for a name like that. I wouldn't.

Darcy is better, as is Delphi/ne.

Bouledeneige · 21/08/2018 07:42

I'm not too keen on either Daisy it Darcey - they are both very usual around here. And to me Darcey is a bit like Chardonnay!

Daisy can also be short for Marguerite - the French name for Daisies!

I prefer
Delphine
Dasha
Darya

Frankwindsor · 21/08/2018 07:53

Darcy

sulflower · 21/08/2018 07:57

Darcy but probably because I know an older Darcy and she's lovely.

daisypond · 21/08/2018 18:55

Daisy - at a push. I really dislike Darcy/Darcey/Darcie - I think it's downmarket.

twoundertwo54321 · 21/08/2018 18:57

Daisy is soft, playful and cute so that's the sort of person I would associate.

Darcey sounds stronger, more serious and modern.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 21/08/2018 18:59

I like both.

Probably Daisy more but I think Darcey goes better with Freddie!
I know someone with the Darcie spelling too.

Della
Dina
Donna
Dominique
Dulcie
Daphne
Dawn

PixelAteMe · 21/08/2018 19:19

I’m surprised by the pps saying Daisy isn’t a suitable name for a grown woman. My DGM was a Daisy, so to me it has always felt like an old lady name! There are already so many young Daisys that it will be commonplace by the time they are middle-aged.

Daisy is a “gentle” name, like all the flower names. Darcey sounds more assertive. I like both.

kenandbarbie · 21/08/2018 20:19

I prefer darcy to darcey
Daisy is ok
I really like Margaret / Marguerite shortened to Daisy though

kenandbarbie · 21/08/2018 20:19

Oh and Dulcie is gorgeous!!

Icklepup · 21/08/2018 20:22

Daisy

MeyMary · 21/08/2018 20:33

Daisy is lovely.

I'm not too fond of Darcy/Darcie.
And I really dislike Dulcie.

Other suggestions:
Daphne, Dana (unisex like Freddie), Darya, Dawn, Davina, Della, Delta, Dilys or maybe Dree/Andrea nn Dree?

firsttime17 · 21/08/2018 20:33

I prefer Darcy but other 'D' names I love are Dakota and Delilah x

Mol1628 · 21/08/2018 20:38

Darcy.
Really don’t like daisy. Just can’t imagine an adult daisy.
