Boy names for triplets please?

Hello,

I'm looking for boy triplets names or ideas, and I'm very open to suggestions because I really have no idea, I'm overwhelmed with the idea of naming three boys. Anyway my DH like name Stephen, and he would like the others two have the same first letter even if there isn't too many names start with S so far. For me I still don't have the name I particularly like, so any names or ideas please?

They don't necessary to have alliteration, or be matchy or vice versa, just would like to know your idea like if you were having triplet boys, what would you name them. And I also don't have any specific ideas, so please help. Very open here.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you!

If I had to boy name triplets now I’d call them

Nicholas, Joel and Frankie.

If one of them had to be Stephen I’d probably go

Stephen, James and Daniel

for some reason 😄

Congratulations!!

Stephen, Theodore and Henry
Stephen, Benjamin and Caleb
Stephen, Elijah and Liam

Same letter;
Stephen, Samuel and Saul
Stephen, Sebastian and Stewart
Stephen, Stanley and Sean

My DS 21 has three v good friends who are triplet boys, they are Nathaniel, Aaron, and Will. They are lovely boys (young men!)!

Richard
Spencer

Stephen, Paul and Matthew.
Don't go for all names starting with the same letter or you'll end up with Xavier, Xander and Xerxes or something.

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/08/2018 22:21

Oh jeez, I can't even find one boys name I like never mind 3! Grin feel for you !

I personally wouldn't go with the same letters. If one is to be Stephen I'd go with 3 traditional names too

buttercup54321 · 10/08/2018 22:58

Stephen Simon and Shaun
Stephen Stuart and Stanley
Stephen Sebastian and Samuel
Stephen David and Christopher
Stephen Michael and Andrew
Stephen Robert and Paul
Stephen Matthew and William
Stephen Mark and John

RosyPP · 10/08/2018 23:18

Well Stephen was a Medieval king so what about Stephen and William, Henry, Richard, John, Edward?

Picknickers · 10/08/2018 23:58

Stephen Joseph and Edwin. 3 men from my family Wink

finallychangedmyusername · 11/08/2018 08:03

If I were having triplets I'd go for:

Elliot Joshua
Dominic Joseph and
Nathaniel Jacob

itssquidstella · 11/08/2018 08:07

Stephen, Richard and Nicholas

sexnotgender · 11/08/2018 08:08

Congratulations!!

Stephen isn’t my favourite but if you’re set on it I’d go with different initials for them all.

Stephen, William & Angus
Stephen, David & Francis

Onthebrink87 · 11/08/2018 09:07

I have Jack Harry and Oscar - not triplets however

posieperkinandpootle · 11/08/2018 09:26

Taking Stephen as a starting point I'd choose two more quite classic names that could be shortened in a couple of ways (Stephen, Stevie, Steve). This will give you flexibility to match there wee personalities so

Stephen, Robert, William might become known as Stephen, Robbie & Will.

I wouldn't go for overly long names or names with same letter as it could end up a tongue-twister. I'd avoid initials that can spell something rude or is already a well known acronym as their peers will seize this as a chance to tease. Lastly have very different sounding names. My DD & DS have names with same last syllable and they often answer to each other's names as they just tune in time to hear the -er. Or as they get older they ignore me & claim "oh I thought you asked -er to do it"

Sunnybeachbabe · 11/08/2018 09:26

I wouldn't go for any themes, matches or alliteration. Just pick 3 names that you really like and go with that.
Stephen, Oscar and Dylan.
Stephen, Jacob and Oliver.
Stephen, Isaac and James.

Yes! Me and my nephew have similar sounding names and I'm constantly feeling like I'm being told off or summoned. He's only 3 at the moment and it's just going to get worse.

buttyblahblah · 11/08/2018 09:36

Make sure they are completely different names, no alliteration or samey samey ness.

I work with large data sets and multiple births are a nightmare to keep track of. The amount of families with twins or triplets whose names are almost exactly the same is ridiculous.

Post gets mixed up, school applications, medical records, for the sake of the children, give them different names!

Zoflorabore · 11/08/2018 09:41

I would go with an "o" theme as I already have an Oliver so thinking if he had been 3 I would have had

Oliver
Oscar
Owen

I think three with "s" would end up like a tongue twister :)

Panticles · 11/08/2018 09:45

I think with the initials R S T in alphabetical order and with classic names that can be shortened. That makes a memorial set but not match.
Robert
Stephan
Thomas

or

Raphael
Stephan
Theodore

Panticles · 11/08/2018 09:46

A memorable set even !
