Which name would you pick and why?

I quite fancy being a Madeleine because my name is short and a bit cutesy, and I fancy something longer but not too frilly.

Elizabeth with Libby as a nickname

Loyaultemelie · 20/07/2018 10:54

Stephanie shortened to Steph I have no idea why but I remember even in primary school having a (reasonably one sided argument with my slightly confused DM) why didn't she call me this because I clearly looked like a Steph. (Oddly we didn't know any and I can't think of any famous ones I'd have known in primary school Confused)

I prefer Susan to Suzanne. Susannah is nice.

BlueAir · 20/07/2018 13:46

Oh yes, Georgiana and Elizabeth are lovely. Think I might change my name again.

superhansg · 20/07/2018 13:47

It sounds really hippie but I always wanted to be called lavender

Cosmoa · 20/07/2018 13:53

Jamie - It's almost my name but a less common name for a girl.

n0ne · 20/07/2018 14:07

I love my name. But I wouldn't mind being a Philomena

LovelyLemurs · 21/07/2018 12:04

Danielle
Amy
Emma

Undercoverbanana · 21/07/2018 12:09

I like my middle name - Katherine. I would be Kate. No nonsense, no shits to give, no frills - Kate.

9GreenBottles · 21/07/2018 12:12

I was going to to be Katrina but the neighbours beat my parents to it. Still hanker after the name but be called Kate day to day.

9GreenBottles · 21/07/2018 12:13

Didn't read to the end before my contribution. Great minds Undercoverbanana

Noboozeforme · 21/07/2018 12:24

Willow or a boys name like Sam, Frankie or Charlie.

No idea why !

MaterialReality · 21/07/2018 14:58

Sophia or Katerina.

I have a name which is very of its time and ends in an -ee sound, which I really don't like in girls' names.

duckyfuzzz · 21/07/2018 15:39

Jenna

TheHalfBloodPrincess · 21/07/2018 15:41

If I had the nerve I’d change my name to Raven Shakespeare

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 21/07/2018 17:05

Belinda - it’s the name I use in Starbucks

Lipsticktraces · 21/07/2018 22:31

I always wanted to be called Lucia. I have no idea whyGrin

LemonScentedStickyBat · 21/07/2018 22:34

I’d go by the name my parents called me at home rather than the anglicised version they put on my birth certificate

Claricestarling1 · 21/07/2018 22:43

Winter, Skye or Scarlett

missymousey · 21/07/2018 22:44

In my head I've always had a kick-ass alter ego called Alex Hunt. My birth name was long and flowery and I never liked it. Slightly better now I'm married and use a shortened firstname.

TriSarahTops · 21/07/2018 22:59

I’ve always hated my name.

I always wanted something more unusual (at one point in time 7 of the 16 girls in my class had my name). When I was younger I quite fancied being called Amanda.

Nowadays I think I’d quite like to have been named after my grandmother (Caroline Mary).

rhubarbfool · 21/07/2018 23:10

I would be Margot or Greta

KarineAimee · 22/07/2018 10:05

Rose or Hannah. I really like that Hannah is a palindrome, so I’d probably go with that.

spidey66 · 23/07/2018 16:12

Eleanor nn Ellie.

My name is very boring 1960s name.

ThomasinaMouse · 23/07/2018 16:20

Serendipity or Juliet
