Piper as a girls name

Any thoughts? We won't be finding out the sex and we have a boys name picked. Have one DD already

There's an actress called Piper who played someone's mother on Twin Peaks.

You could call her Harper, alternatively. Different instrument

It's the name of the main character in Orange Is The New Black. It maybe depends where you live too - it doesn't sound as pretty in a West Country accent.

I was only 3at the time of the disaster so don't know of it but the name Piper makes me think of a stripper.

It's because of coyote ugly. That's where I first heard the name so it's stuck with me

I read a series of romantic suspense books set in Alaska with a Piper in and I like it from then. I think I'd have said no before then but I do quite like it and it goes with your oldest's name. Congratulations OP

Piper Alpha was my first thought as well. That and the Pied Piper.

I could only imagine Piper on a girl. I just think of the Orange is the new Black character, which puts me off. However I don't think a lot of people would make that connection. Pip is a cute nickname, or Pippa too.

My daughter is called Piper, she's nearly 2. I hated the name originally when dh suggested it after an OITNB binge but soon fell in love. We always get lovely comments about her name.
