I love the names Hugo & Digby but my friends have recently used these names on their dc.

Any suggestions for names along the same lines? Nothing too popular..

Also I know really ‘posh’ (I mean old money not footballers wives) people who have names their children names that are considered chavvy on here, and the local state primaries are full of Hugo’s, Ruperts and Henry’s. So just go with what you like.
If kids are going to be bullied or picked on that will find something no matter what the name.
I went to school with someone who had a surname of Pratt and she was NEVER ever teased about it. Abigail on the other hand was teased for being ‘Abby National Bank’ !!!!

PS I would not be offended by my choice of name being called 'posh', more likely take it as a compliment ;)

Please don't call a baby Cartier...

Phillip is a very nice and underused name.

Cariadxx - I’m all for equality. Give me a Chardonnay or Armani and I’ll have something to say as well. 😏

I used to know a Digby.
He was a hamster though.

AntoinetteOuradi · 05/07/2018 21:07

Wonderful names on here. My DS's name included. Humphrey would be shortened to Humpy, or Humpty Dumpty (OK, so it's not a shortening, but there we go). There is one in my family. Beauregard is fabulous (nn Beau).

ChicagoWest · 05/07/2018 21:12

I love Monty and Hector.

I also adore the name Eric for a boy but not sure this would fit in with the names you mentioned, OP. Just thought I'd add Eric in though in case you do like it!

ChicagoWest · 05/07/2018 21:13

Oh and not sure if anyone has suggested it already but I love the name Ludo too!

ParisNext · 05/07/2018 21:16

In my family we have grown up Hugo, Digby, Tristan, Barnaby, Michael, Tobias and Hugh. Some are elderly now but I love all their names.
