Unusual but not too ‘out there’ boys names

Hi all
I’m currently totally stuck on baby boys names
I’ve scrolled through so many lists and none are jumping out at me
The type I like are:
Ezra (too eee as the surname ends in er) maybe my accent, though
Ivo (OH hates it, so no)
Albie (too babyish?)

So you get my ‘style’ - help! Are there any like this that I haven’t come across?

❤️

I feel your pain - we have an 'er' ending surname which is 2 syllables and have had to rule out most of my fav names as they sound silly! Such a shame as there are so many nice 'a' and 'er' names. How about:

Marcus
Joel
Owen
Matthew
Franklin
Elwood
Cody
Cole

I really liked Malcolm but we settled on Magnus. It’s my favourite of the children’s names.

I am on the continent so come across lots of unusual-to-me-names :) Try:

Ezio
Daan
Florentine
Fabian
Franzi
Lias
Constantin (constan-teen)
Leopold
Leonidas
Emil (Ay-meel)
Tristan
Manuel

Arlo seems to have come out of nowhere and now be everywhere.

A couple DH and I considered but decided against:

Robin
Orion
Idris
Ignis (nb may be made up)

Enzo? I knew a lovely little Enzo once, and it's similar to Ezra and Ivo so may suit your style.

MyOtherUserNameIsAUnicorn · 09/06/2018 19:09

Oooh my son's name is on here 3 times Grin

BertieBotts · 09/06/2018 19:10

Ooh now you've said that I think it might be an Enzo I know, not an Ezio Blush

Wearelocal · 09/06/2018 19:12

Robin is a great name.

I have a Wilf(red). There were in 16 born in 1996 when he was born but its a lot more popular now...
He was nearly called Thaddeus. I'm glad I didnt because now the name reminds me of the ghastly woman in Nanny Mcphee!

leannejade · 09/06/2018 19:22

I liked..
Rudy
Rueben
Hunter
Tate
Jesse
Rowan
Sid
Chester

Unfortunately my OH didn't like most of my suggestions.
In the end we settled on a name he suggested which I was surprised he liked. It's more feminine for a "boys" name but I couldn't imagine him with any other name. (Casey)
