Kardashian. I wouldn't.

DuchyDuke · 21/05/2018 12:46

Nope

Wolfiefan · 21/05/2018 12:46

Yep. Kardashian and I wouldn't.

InkSnail · 21/05/2018 12:46

Mint cake and surname (Felicity)

BobbinThreadbare123 · 21/05/2018 12:47

Only if your surname is Cake and her middle name is Mint.

MinaPaws · 21/05/2018 12:48

To me, it sounds American. Reminds me of the singer Kendel Carson (who is Canadian, not US) who is very beautiful and very talented so it has good associations in my mind.

AmazingPostVoices · 21/05/2018 12:48

I think the Kardashian’s link would be fairly overpowering and it’s not really a positive association.

HeyDolly · 21/05/2018 12:49

I’d assume you were a Kardashian fan.

AuntieStella · 21/05/2018 12:53

I wouldn't make the Kardashian connexion, as I don't watch and am only vaguely aware.

I would think you had been disappointed not to have had a boy, and that Barbie's Ken had had a big impression on you in your childhood. Or that you secretly have the hots for William Roache.

Surname names work much better on boys that girls in general, and this one particularly so. Because Ken is the obvious shortening and Corrie is still one of the most watched programmes and he's been on screen for over 60 years and still going strong.

userabcname · 21/05/2018 13:03

To be fair Kendall is a Jenner not a Kardashian. It is a very American sounding name, not that that's a bad thing. I'm not a huge fan of it to be honest but it's not a terrible name.

Iplaythetriangle · 21/05/2018 13:17

Jenner. I wouldn’t personally.

Kenneth Kendall was an excellent news reader of the 1970s

Here he is

It's ok but the association with Ms Jenner will divide opinions.
It's a surname - another minus.
How about Araminta - Minty for short?

HouseworkIsASin10 · 21/05/2018 13:42

How about Araminta - Minty for short?

Minty? As in Eastender's Minty. (Also means smelly around here.)

HouseworkIsASin10 · 21/05/2018 13:42

Kendall is nice, just a shame about the Jenner connection.

MindBodyChocolate · 21/05/2018 13:43

Kardashian or Cake.

No.

DrinkYourGreenTea · 21/05/2018 13:43

I’ll be the one person so far to say...I love it.

I don’t usually like ‘surname’ names as first names but I love Kendall. It’s very American, there was a Kendall on Dance Moms.

If you love it, go for it.

Sophronia · 21/05/2018 14:05

How about Kendra instead?

Pemba · 21/05/2018 14:06

It does make you think of the place (and of the Kardashian). But in this case I maybe wouldn't say it was too masculine, or an American trend, since I actually went to school (in the UK) with a female Kendall, and I am in my fifties.

I'm not that keen though, TBH.

megletthesecond · 21/05/2018 14:07

No.
Jenner / Kardashian.

wtf2018 · 21/05/2018 14:14

I quite like it but I think of the dance moms kid

bridgetreilly · 21/05/2018 14:15

Jenner. Just no.

Actually I don't like it anyway, but with the Kardashian link it's awful. Sorry.

BackforGood · 21/05/2018 14:36

I thought 'mintcake' too.

I'm not a fan of surnames for firstnames, tbh.
