We have a (long!) shortlist of 9 first names with middle names. But I’m confident we have a winner here! I’d like to get it down to 3 or 4.

So, tell me your top 3 please!

(Surname starts with H, 2 syllables)

Anna Florence
Ellen Victoria
Eleanor Mary
Verity Florence
Grace Eleanor
Lorna Florence
Juliet Elizabeth
Edith Anna
Maggie Ellen

Anna Florence
Lorna Florence
Eleanor Mary

MancUnicorn · 10/05/2018 20:31

Anna Florence
Verity Florence
Lorna Florence
(You must have a thing for Florence so go for it)

Also despite the 'MEH' initials I quite like Maggie Ellen

17caterpillars1mouse · 10/05/2018 20:53

Grace Eleanor
Edith Anna
Lorna Florence

Though if I could I'd change Edith to Edith Florence

MiniAlphaBravo · 10/05/2018 20:57

Love your name choices op.

Juliet Elizabeth
Verity Florence
Edith Anna

chocolatelimesaredelicious · 10/05/2018 21:10

I love the name but I should warn you that there are 4 Annas in my son's class at primary school!

manicinsomniac · 10/05/2018 21:29

Juliet Elizabeth
Verity Florence
Grace Eleanor

Ski40 · 10/05/2018 21:33

I love Juliet Elizabeth, it sounds classic and romantic.💖

BB2018 · 10/05/2018 22:10

First time I’ve heard of lots of Annas in a class - it was quite low in the top 50 last year and even lower the year before. Hopefully that’s a fluke as it’s proving one of the most popular of our options!

RavenWings · 10/05/2018 22:14

I teach primary. Every class in my school has an Anna, and a couple have multiple.

BB2018 · 10/05/2018 22:26

Interesting!
Do those of you who know lots of Annas know lots of Graces? Because that was our original fave but got pushed down the list as it’s high in the popularity charts...

I like Anna Florence... Think Lorna Elizabeth is very nice too but not one of your chosen combos x

SnowGoArea · 10/05/2018 22:39

Verity
Edith
Juliet
Anna

Can't remember which middle names went with each now I've scrolled down, but they were all nice!

TroubledLichen · 10/05/2018 22:43

I love all your names except Maggie as a) it’s a nickname and b) Thatcher

Juliet Elizabeth is my favourite, followed by Edith Anna

ButterflyOfFreedom · 10/05/2018 22:45

Anna Florence

marmitecrumpets · 10/05/2018 22:52

Florence Juliet
Edith Grace
Juliet Mary

RavenWings · 10/05/2018 23:09

We have a couple of Graces in the school - maybe 1 out of every 4 classes has one, I'd guess.

Sophronia · 10/05/2018 23:27

Anna Florence

Ellen Victoria

Eleanor Mary

ScrubTheDecks · 10/05/2018 23:32

Verity Florence
Verity Grace
Eleanor Grace

Gran22 · 10/05/2018 23:36

All lovely, but I'm with Scrub above:

Eleanor Grace just flows somehow.

peytonlia · 10/05/2018 23:46

My top pick would be Grace Eleanor. Next would be Juliet Elizabeth and Anna Florence (although think Victoria would work much better as mn for Anna).

talimom500 · 11/05/2018 03:00

In this order: Juliet Elizabeth, Anna Florence, or Eleanor Mary.

deptfordgirl · 11/05/2018 03:24

Anna Florence
Verity Florence
Juliet Elizabeth

BB2018 · 11/05/2018 08:07

We’re avoiding Grace as a middle name because it’s such a well-used middle name (though I agree this is because it has such a nice ring to it!).

And don’t want Florence as a first name for those suggesting it because we know a couple (love it as a middle name though obvs!)

Maggie Ellen is lovely. I teach and haven't taught an Anna in year.

pilates · 11/05/2018 08:36

Eleanor Mary
Grace Eleanor
Edith Anna (doesn’t flow so well)
