Agnes, Beatrice or Ingrid?

Which of these three? I prefer strong names and I love them all but have minor doubts about each - that Agnes and Beatrice will spike (have spiked?) in popularity, that Agnes is too harsh and Beatrice too soft, and that using Ingrid without any Scandinavian connection is a bit weird/pretentious. Thoughts?

Agnes is gorgeous and classy. (Also love Agatha.) Beatrice/x is lovely, too.

Don't care for the other name - too ugly and harsh!

I'm a bit surprised by the love of Ingrid. I'm an Ingrid and I always wished that I had a prettier name. I don't like the "grid" sound. I think it's a bit harsh.

Thanks everyone! Some helpful stuff here. Looks like Ingrid is edging it, which is interesting... it's always been my favourite, while my OH's is Agnes. But lately I'm drawn to Beatrice (although not Bea so much), and I like the Dante connection a lot. (I think the sound is a bit soft but it has a feisty provenance). I love Beatrix but OH does not, unfortunately.

RedDwarves, I absolutely love Greta but a family member has already used it. And Anya, Ida is objectively lovely but I think it's just a bit too close to some other very popular ones - Ava/Ada/Eva/Isla. Again, all lovely names, but am trying to avoid something too dating. I know you can't avoid that entirely, though.

Agnes and Ingrid are both overly harsh sounding to my ears.

What about Astrid?

I have a Beatrice - other names considered at top of list were Nola, Noa, Wren, Edna...

Ingrid is gorgeous. Agnes too old lady (though I like Agnes Nitt, but she didn't like the name either) and Beatrice just rubs me up the wrong way for some reason.

Other names I like: Mary, Vita, Elise
