Old man middle name needed!

So we've decided on Wilfred for our little chap, not looking to reconsider this so please be gentle if you dislike the name! Grin

We are however completely and utterly stuck for a middle name. Feel like we have to because other dc have mns but we've got nothing.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I think Henry or Percy go well

FurForksSake · 28/04/2018 13:55

Stanley

Shockers · 28/04/2018 13:55

Cecil.

Shockers · 28/04/2018 13:56

Or Maurice. My grandad was Maurice Smile.

QueenCity · 28/04/2018 13:58

George

Stanley

James

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 28/04/2018 14:00

James will go nice.
Percy too!

Petalflowers · 28/04/2018 14:04

James was my first thought.

Alternatives include
Wilfred Clarence
Wilfred William
Wilfred Luke
Wilfred George
Wilfred Henry
Wilfred Lawrence
Wilfred Llewelyn
Wilfred Percival
Wilfred Louis...

BB2018 · 28/04/2018 14:37

We have Wilfred on our shortlist and thinking Arthur, Edward or James for middle name.

I think Wilfred is a lovely name! Will you call him Wilf or use full name?

FurForksSake · 28/04/2018 14:41

Having a Wilfred it is definitely a good name, ours gets called Wilf and Wilfred interchangeably.

llangennith · 28/04/2018 14:42

Best give him a great middle name as he’ll probably choose to be known as that rather than Wilfred.

FurForksSake · 28/04/2018 14:42

WTF? Why on earth would they choose to be called something else?

ShmooBooMoo · 28/04/2018 14:43

My first thought was Wilbur (which I love!) but it's a bit close to Wilfred.
How about Leopold? Wilfred Leopold looks great and sounds good too! Much depends on your surname though...

or, Wilfred Francis
Wilfred Ernest
Wilfred Godfrey
Wilfred Abel
Wilfred Amos

EmmaC78 · 28/04/2018 14:44

I quite like James with Wilfred as others have suggested.

FootnerFace · 28/04/2018 14:44

Wilfred Arthur

Wilfred Thomas

Wilfred Gomez

ShmooBooMoo · 28/04/2018 14:46

Or the lengthened version of Percy as mentioned by a PP ...

Wilfred Percival

Personally, I think a two-syllable middle name would be better unless you have a one-syllable surname (in which case I'd go for three syllables). Eg Wilfred Percival Wright or Wilfred Leopold Wright, for example. Just seems to flow better.

MikeUniformMike · 28/04/2018 14:52

John, James, Henry, George, ...
Wilf is fine.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/04/2018 15:03

Personally I wouldn't go for another old mans name with Wilfred. James, Alexander or Peter would be my suggestion.

BevBrook · 28/04/2018 15:07

Sydney

Carouselfish · 28/04/2018 15:10

Love Wilfred. How about something surnamey or international?
Wilfred Storey
Wilfred Dean
Wilfred Anders
Wilfred Ellis
Wilfred Mack

Wilfred Owen

Sophronia · 28/04/2018 18:37

I know a Wilfred Stanley

Wilfred Arthur

Wilfred Barnaby
Wilfred Benjamin
Wilfred Clarence
Wilfred Clement
Wilfred Cecil
Wilfred Edwin
Wilfred Gregory
Wilfred Hugh
Wilfred Leonard
Wilfred Maurice
Wilfred Percy
Wilfred Robin
Wilfred Ernest
Wilfred Sidney
Wilfred Eric

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/04/2018 18:51

Wilfred Cedric, very cool ! 😎

WildCherryBlossom · 28/04/2018 19:10

My first instinct was Wilfred James but Wilfred Cedric works really well too.

blackteasplease · 28/04/2018 19:23

I think James too. Or any of the "Thomas the Tank Engine" names. They are traditional enough to go without being overkill.
