My mum tried to introduce Glamma (glamorous Grandma) instead of Grandma but it didn't stick. Mainly because I refused to use it

As a child I called my DGF "Bumpa", which he loved but my parents hated and made me say it correctly.
He's Bumpa to my DS and DF is "Pop", which is what his GF was known as.

We have one Dutch set, so they are Oma and Opa, which is easy to say and feels like grandparent names.

You could work with theit own names :

grannny-annie

I love Granny, I think is sounds affectionate, and I find Grandma very formal.

My mother is Nonna which is Italian for Granny.

I'm in Spain. I love the sound of Yaya in parks. It sounds so lovely and close. Yaya is generally what kids call grandmothers.
