Just don’t seem to be able to make a decision on DD2. Every time I think we’re there, doubts creep in.
DD1 is Elizabeth (nn Lizzie)
Surname is a fairly standard, boring name.

Which do you prefer?

Annabelle Iona
Emilia Iona
Georgia Iona
Georgina Iona

Annabelle or Georgia for me. There’s too many Emilia/Amelie/Emmy/Milly/Amelia names around at the moment.

Peachbubble · 17/04/2018 09:09

I like Annabelle or Georgia

Scottishgirl85 · 17/04/2018 09:18

I think anabelle goes best with middle name to avoid 2 names ending in 'a'.

Our DD2 will be here within a week and currently our favourite name is Iona Grin

gwen25 · 17/04/2018 09:26

I'd say Georgina or Annabelle Iona.

Elizabeth is such a gorgeous name and the nn Lizzie is so cute!

Littlemum2be86 · 17/04/2018 09:27

Annabelle sounds lovely with Elizabeth. Both very pretty Smile

Ceebs85 · 17/04/2018 09:31

Georgia was on my list so I'd go with that. Think its lovely, classic, pretty and simple.

17caterpillars1mouse · 17/04/2018 09:33

Annabelle but prefer Annabel spelling

bella2bella · 17/04/2018 09:33

Emilia is my favourite and then Georgia. I agree with the pp who said that Annabelle goes best with the middle name though.

Ginnotginger · 17/04/2018 09:40

Georgina, I think it goes best with Elizabeth. Agree with others that Annabelle goes best with Iona but realistically how often will she use her middle name? I only 3 name my DD when she is in trouble Grin

LoveInTokyo · 17/04/2018 10:11

Annabel without the frilly “belle” ending.

AnyaMoondial · 17/04/2018 10:35

Georgina nn Gina. Brilliant. Sounds fab with Lizzie.

RedDwarves · 17/04/2018 11:13

Annabel or Georgia.

If you’re insistent on using the spelling Annabelle, I would choose Georgia.

FizzyGreenWater · 17/04/2018 11:16

Annabel not Annabelle

Frilly and incorrect.

Of your names, like Emilia best but Annabel probably goes better with Elizabeth.

Anastasia?
Just Anna? (lovely)
Arabella?

Lifeaback · 17/04/2018 15:41

Anabelle or Emilia, I hate Georgia/Georgina personally

PurpleTraitor · 17/04/2018 15:48

I was reading through thinking how much the belle bit puts me off Annabelle but it goes better with the middle name than the others, and lo, people agreeing with me! The extra letters and flouncy ending are particularly noticeable when it is paired with Elizabeth, which doesn’t have even one extra frilly letter and is all the better for it - strong, classic, sensible.....not someone with Annabelle for a sister.

Annabel.

Snowhite12 · 17/04/2018 16:43

I actually thought Annabelle was the standard way to spell it but I’m certainly not insistent on it.
I’d rather just spell it the standard way as I don’t like weird and wonderful spellings of names! If that’s Annabel then so be it.

One thing that does worry me is that one of the nicknames I really like for Annabel is Bella. I imagine there are lots of little Bellas running around at the moment though due to the popularity of Isabella/ Isobelle

Georgia goes best in my opinion

PinkCalluna · 17/04/2018 16:55

They are all lovely names.

I really like Emilia but two Miss E Snowhites might be annoying so I’d go with Georgia.

userabcname · 17/04/2018 16:57

Annabel is lovely and goes really well with Elizabeth.

Movablefeast · 17/04/2018 18:02

Georgina, classic and beautiful like Elizabeth.

StylishMummy · 17/04/2018 18:05

Annabelle

dotdotdotmustdash · 17/04/2018 18:09

Annabel nn Annie.

LastNightsMakeUp · 17/04/2018 18:28

Georgia is my favourite from your list and goes well with Elizabeth. Both classic and pretty names.

bridgetreilly · 17/04/2018 18:36

Another vote for Annabel. And call her Anna or Annie, rather than Belle or Bella.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/04/2018 19:21

Annabel Iona.
