I'm set on Wyatt for a girl. I know it's not to everyone's taste but I'm in love. However, I'm stuck for a feminine middle name that works. Our surname is like Wilson if that helps?

So far I only have Wyatt Lydia Wilson but I can't think of alternatives. Can anyone suggest feminine middle names that work?

My sister just mentioned Wyatt Rose. What do you think?

Im not in love with Wyatt.. for a girl or a boy.
But rose is one of the most commonly used middle names in England. I really wouldn't use it personally.

TroubledLichen · 24/03/2018 22:07

Don’t Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have a (girl) Wyatt?! Still sounds pretty masculine to me though. And very American. Of the names you’ve mentioned I only really like Lydia (sorry!).

Hotpinkangel19 · 24/03/2018 22:08

It sounds like a boy's name?

AuntieStella · 24/03/2018 22:13

The Wyatt that people will have heard of is Earp, so I think people will assume the holder is a dot, and I doubt how 'feminine' the middle name would make much difference.

What names do you have in your family tree (maybe grandparents or great grandparents and their sisters)?

I think a two of three syllable name would flow best, and 'O' names might be best avoided. So how about Miriam, Emily, Clara, Sonia, Constance?

thismeansnothing · 24/03/2018 22:13

I don't like it. Makes me think of bray wyatt the wrestler.

Kpo58 · 24/03/2018 22:14

Whyatt Rose sounds like a question for a florist.

Whyatt really isn't a girl's name.

AuntieStella · 24/03/2018 22:14

Not 'dot' - I meant 'boy' (weird DYAC, I'm afraid)

MammaAgata · 24/03/2018 22:16

Wyatt what? Sorry but thats awful for a girl.. I instantly assumed a boys name.. and even as a boys name it’s not good.. why are you hankering after such a strange name for a girl?

SilverySurfer · 24/03/2018 22:17

Not a nice name for a girl since it's a boy's name, eg Wyatt Earp. It seems like every girl born in the past year has Rose as part of their name.

Tropicana123 · 24/03/2018 22:20

Love Wyatt. I'd say it's a unisex name which I love.

Wyatt Belle Wilson

lljkk · 24/03/2018 22:25

Why You (want to call your baby) WHAT?

toffee1000 · 24/03/2018 22:27

Wyatt is too masculine for me. However if you’re set on it that’s your decision.

HeartySoup · 24/03/2018 22:33

Wyatt Madeline
Wyatt Lily
Wyatt Flora
Wyatt Amelia
Wyatt Emily
Wyatt Thea

Wyatt is personally my taste, but I hope those middle names help you.

MonaTheMoaner · 24/03/2018 22:42

I know it's a tolerate it or hate it name but I fell in love with it with my first daughter a decade ago and waited on a boy. Two girls later and we were still sitting on it. Wyatt Rose is our best option right not, I think. Hoping to fall in love with the middle name in the coming months.

OP posts:
Kpo58 · 24/03/2018 22:56

Wyatt May
Wyatt Thyme
Wyatt Hope
Wyatt Joy

toffee1000 · 24/03/2018 23:05

Rose is one of the most common middle names right now along with May. Lydia is a little more unusual as a middle name. Although, again, it’s your choice! Wyatt is such an unusual first name choice it probably doesn’t matter how common the middle name is.

MammaAgata · 24/03/2018 23:13

Why would you want to saddle your child with a ‘tolerate it or hate it’ name just because YOU love it? One of the most bizarre attitudes I think I’ve ever read. There’s been some weird name suggestions I’ve heard in my time but giving a little girl an old American mans name beats it hands down..

Baubletrouble43 · 24/03/2018 23:23

Wyatt Elizabeth
Wyatt Alexandra
Wyatt Miranda
I quite like Wyatt. It's cute.

Patal · 24/03/2018 23:27

I love Wyatt for a girl. Edgy and cute. I don’t like the combo of Wyatt Rose as Rose is VERY popular. Try equally feminine names but less common than Rose. How about:

Wyatt Phoebe
Wyatt Bethany
Wyatt Julia
Wyatt Paige
Wyatt Olivia
Wyatt Evelyn
Wyatt Jade
Wyatt Lola
Wyatt Georgia
Wyatt Lauren
Wyatt Nicole
Wyatt Elise
Wyatt Rebecca
Wyatt Robyn
Wyatt Jasmine
Wyatt Anabelle
Wyatt Clarissa

Or other flower names like:
Wyatt Lilly
Wyatt Poppy
Wyatt Daisy
Wyatt Petal
Wyatt Ivy

Would she not continually get conversations along the lines of:

What is your name?
Wyatt
What?
Wyatt
I said what is your name?
Wyatt
No pardon, not what. What is your name?

(And repeat)

MollyHuaCha · 25/03/2018 04:16

Not keen.

habibihabibi · 25/03/2018 04:45

Are you in the States ?
I think there it's more acceptable to have a unisex name but in Europe expect decades of questions about the child's name and gender.
