Guessing Game

Thought this would make a fun thread and maybe also provide names for people that are choosing that they wouldn't have thought of otherwise.

Think of a name (your child's or any name really) and provide 3 clues.

Other posters have to guess the name and once someone gets it right, it's their turn!

I'll start:

2 syllables

Very definitely a boys name but there is a feminine version

2 very common abbreviations/nicknames

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@FintyTin has it

Meanings of Florence include flourishing/flowery.
Firenze was the centaur who took over as Divination teacher in Harry Potter.
The Tuscan city of Firenze is also known as Florence.

Right-o...here’s mine, then:

This chap might be hiking in Ireland, but only heading in a straight line.
He sounds like he could be blue or white.

LadyGAgain · 22/03/2018 17:41

Please can we have another clue? Smile

FintyTin · 22/03/2018 18:09

The ‘hiking in Ireland’ part is historical, the ‘straight line’ is much more recent. Smile
