Which do you prefer, and how many of each do you know?

Peter
Lots of young George's near me, I only know one Peter who is 5.

Sophronia · 10/02/2018 20:44

Peter

Smoliver · 10/02/2018 20:52

I love Peter - makes me think of Peter Pan, which I loved as a child. I don't know any Peter's. I know one George.

readysteadyteddy · 10/02/2018 20:59

George. Know two I think, don't know any Peters since leaving school.

Jammycustard · 10/02/2018 21:00

Peter. Heaving with Georges round here.

jellyandsoup · 10/02/2018 21:00

Peter, wish I had used it in my son's name

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/02/2018 21:10

Peter George sounds good !

Mol1628 · 10/02/2018 21:12

Peter.
I love George but it’s very common.
Peter is lovely, strong name. Sounds good for all ages.

IHaveBrilloHair · 10/02/2018 21:13

Peter.

AdaColeman · 10/02/2018 21:14

Peter.

George is massively popular already.

Estellanpip · 10/02/2018 21:17

(I'm biased) Peter.

Meepmoop · 10/02/2018 21:18

I like George our DS would have been called it if I hadn't used it on our cat already

ChocolateCrunch · 10/02/2018 21:20

I like George - know 1 aged 7. Not keen on Peter - know 1 aged about 9 or 10.

UsernameInvalid66 · 10/02/2018 21:26

I like George better, but I know lots under the age of about 20, and hardly any Peters.

BikeRunSki · 10/02/2018 21:28

Peter, by a very long way

There are loads of little Georges out there at the moment.

Annabelle4 · 10/02/2018 21:29

I love both, but would choose Peter due to the popularity of George

Changednamejustincase · 10/02/2018 21:38

Don't know a single Peter or George under the age of 50. I like both a lot. You can't go wrong with that decision.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/02/2018 21:40

Peter. Georges are everywhere.

Suits247 · 10/02/2018 21:46

I definitely prefer George but yes it’s really gained popularity recently.

oldbirdy · 10/02/2018 22:03

I liked Peter but it means "to fart" in French - with lots of relatives in France it didn't work for our family.

user1459464195 · 10/02/2018 22:12

Peter. George is very popular. Peter is wonderfully softly spoken yet strong. Also I think it means "rock" (clearly very strong!)

FancyNewBeesly · 10/02/2018 22:16

My abusive father was called George so that was obviously out for me but since the royal baby I’d say it’s too heavily used now anyway.

(Strangely, my mum’s similarly abusive next husband? Peter)

I’d say Peter is the better choice though!

pilates · 10/02/2018 22:18

George Peter sounds good

sleepyMe12 · 10/02/2018 22:23

I have a Peter (2) we always get comments on his name.

SumAndSubstance · 10/02/2018 22:31

I think Peter is a great name. Never been a fan of George - it's just such a horrible sound!
