A woman has given birth to six healthy babies (lovely) and their names are:

Boys
Blu Wellington
Tag Bricker
layke Bryars

Girls
Rivers McCall
Rayne McCoy
Rawlings McClaine

And they join older siblings Saylor, Bridge and Wale.

Blu Wellington? Really? My predictive texting was having a right mare typing out that lot!

OP These are terrible names, those poor children. Maybe they will do a Zowie Bowie and change their names when they are older, to Duncan Jones.

Also, can I just point out your comment not many Isabelle's with penises running around , just give it a few years, and there might be as many, as there are Roberts with penises Grin.

Perhaps that was the point, all the names could be boys or girls.

Duncan Jones is his birth name. Zowie is his middle name and Bowie is just his dad's stage name, so Zowie Bowie was never his name.

I quite like Rayne. We quite often call our DD Lakey (which is how I'm pronouncing Layke in my head) as it's short for her full name, I wonder if bystanders think that it's her actual name.

They live in America tho, so the names are less unusual there, though still a bit!

Black - what is Lakey short for?

Rawlings McClaine is the name of a bootlegger in 1930,s Atlantic City......sounds like a character straight out of boardwalk empire!

Do you think that Blu Wellington will be fed up if all the blue wellys given to him as 'joke' presents?

How did they get fertility treatment if they had three children already?

And how did the fertility treatment go so wrong low dose my footthat they had sextuplets?

It's great that they are all ok (I hope they are anyway), but this really says something about the US medical system Hmm

I won't comment on the names Grin

Private health care, MaryZ. Not highly regulated or standardised like in UK (or Ireland?).
I found one article that said they were on the lowest dose possible for the fertility drug when they got the septulets.

I read conflicting about the "history of miscarriages". One article said they had many m/c between Saylor & the twins; that's why they had fertility treatment before (got the twins). Many other sources seem to say there was exactly one m/c, January 2017 ("heartbreaking"). The January 2017 m/c is stated reason why they went for fertility drugs next... coz you know how safe those drugs make pregnancy. Confused But I guess if they only got twins before, they thought they knew what they would get this time, too.

I went to school with identical quadruplets who said they were the result of fertility drugs (born 1960s). Which drugs can lead to many identicals and not fraternals?

I may be a cynical old cow but when I read "lowest dose possible" in the same sentence as "sextuplets" I wonder whether there is an issue with self-medicating and adjusting the dose - that certainly has been the case with some other high-profile multiple births in the US.

And it must be bloody good insurance to cover the cost of NICU for six babies for probably a month or more.
