Sextuplets in the paper this morning

A woman has given birth to six healthy babies (lovely) and their names are:

Boys
Blu Wellington
Tag Bricker
layke Bryars

Girls
Rivers McCall
Rayne McCoy
Rawlings McClaine

And they join older siblings Saylor, Bridge and Wale.

Blu Wellington? Really? My predictive texting was having a right mare typing out that lot!

Fucking hell those are awful names! Poor kids. Why do people do that to children?

I wonder what the fascination with Mc names is?

McKenzie/MacKenzie for girls was a bit of a fad here (Aus) about 10 years ago. Bloody awful.

Actually, she'll have good benefits, too, 1st grade teacher.
(Sad how easy it is to stalk people online.)
Their story has been picked up by anti-abortion campaigners.

All those names seem like surnames. I wonder if they’re all family surnames. (Going back a few generations!)

The names are the least of their idiocy. Humans are not dogs, they're not designed to produce litters of babies.

There are no words for how awful those names are. Poor little blighters!

MikeUniformMike · 13/12/2017 14:08

Wale? Is that as in Wail or Whale?

Report
Alisvolatpropiis · 13/12/2017 14:11

Those names are all utterly dreadful.

According to the dads website it's Wales, not Wale. Still odd.

Blu Wellington is just like a blue welly though, and I didn't realise how funny Tag Bricker was until it was pointed out!

I wonder if it is a liberal American agenda to now use gender neutral names?

Report
Mrsknackered · 13/12/2017 14:35

I'd say all objects were gender neutral @calamityjam ! Bridge just shouldn't be a name, should it? It's a pensioners game, or a way of crossing a river.

Gender neutral always means boy to girl also. So Dylan, Finn, Ray, Cody, whatever. Not many Isabelle's with penises running around.

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I read this ... how the f#*k can you name your daughters like a firm of joiners and plumbers? Is it to go with the building theme they have with some of their sons? Bricker? Bridge? Finally Blu Wellington came off the best ...

It reminded me of the awful Sarah Palin and her Trig and Trucker.

I assumed they were in the UK when I read the post! Goodness me, those names. They're from Alabama... make of that what you will!

Report
specialsubject · 13/12/2017 14:53

normal for Alabama...fortunately they got away with this incredibly high-risk pregnancy without damaging babies or mother, who already has three kids who need her. Bet the anti-abortion lot would not have flocked to support them had it gone wrong.

and as is also normal, parents with reasonable names give kids stupid names. Gwyneth and Chris...

Should be illegal to have that many embryos implanted - fucking irresponsible. Their redneck names are a joke.

@Mrsknackered - I looked at the title of your thread and thought:

"Sextuplets in the paper?? The most I get is a Cotswold Company Catalogue!!" Xmas WinkXmas Grin

I just looked at the facebook page - the 'mom' has the same inane grin on her face in every picture.
Things like this make me feel like I'm a different species to these people.
I would not be grinning. No. Nope.

Epically irresponsible parents. If I were an insurance underwriter in the USA, I'd add an exclusion of high-order IVF multiples. Their new celebrity status will spawn a spate of copycats.

I love Rawlins McClaine! 'Rawlins McClaine, Private Investigator'.

I always found it confusing when I made phonecalls at work and siblings had the same initial (sometimes we didn't have their full names) but at least we could then narrow it down. That'd be tricky with those girls.

Can I speak to R Jones?
Erm...
Sorry, R M Jones.
