After scouring list after list of names and OH and I thrashing out likes and dislikes we came across the name Zayda. Not sure we can use Angelica with it but we think it sounds lovely has a nice meaning and doesn't sound too sing-songy with our DD Nancy. Too far out for a typically British surname? I tentatively really really like it.

Names that I like with Nancy:

Rosamund / Rosalind
Lauren
Penelope (although will likely be called Penny which is a ie name)

Some other Z names:
Demelza
Eliza
Karenza
Zennor
Zelia
Azalea
Zynthia (possibly just made this one up)

Zillah means 'shade'. But might be confused with Cilla. I knew one who had no such trouble though.

Cherith makes me think someone with a lisp is attempting to say Cherish...

I used to work with a Zahara?

For what it's worth, I vote for Meredith. Good name and you don't hear it much. In fact most of your choices are quite refreshing OP, even if not really to my taste. I'm sure you'll come up with the perfect name Smile

How about Juliette? I think it’s underused and very pretty like Nancy but not sing song.

Another suggestion for zaynab. I know of one and she is known as zee.

Irrelevant but I was at at school with a girl Zenobia and she was one of 8 siblings with Z names. There was definitely a Zillah and Zara for girls.
