After going back and forth for ages with DH as we have totally opposite tastes in names this is our shortlist’s for DC2. We’re not finding out the gender. What do you think? Please dont be too brutal 🙈

I have a Nancy so LOVE that. Rory is by miles the best boys name.

Love Rory, if this baby was a boy he would have been Rory!

Not a massive fan of your girls names but if I had to pick, I'd pick Nancy

Lila and Rory, no question.

Bit of a luke warm response from me but I'm all for parents naming their kids what they want so I'd suggest just going for whatever one you like the most. I think they are all a bit too popular for me. Although I ended up back,in my kids fairly popular names myself so I should criticise 🤦🏻‍♀️

Spencer - Really don't like it. (Spencer Pratt🤢)
Freddie - too popular. Ok for little boys less so for an adult
Fletcher - Ok
Rory - Ok
Stanley - ok

I like all of your girls names, especially Effie and Xanthe! I don’t think your boys names are as nice but I would pick Fletcher.

Nancy or Xanthe.
Don't use Spencer or fletcher because of characters from old tv shows.
Rory is good.

Forgot to say Nancy will enjoy the Nancy Drew books when she's older.

I don't like Lila and Effie is awful.

I love Xanthe but you need to be aware that some people will pronounce it awfully, (like Zampfy) or just wrongly.

Betsy is nice.

Don't like Spencer at all, not keen on Fletcher either.

Rory or Freddie from that list. Both are lovely.

I really like Spencer. From your girls list I'd go for Nancy.

I love Hallie for a girl! Although I was a kid of the 90s and watched Parent trap far too many times.

Boys names I'm not sure.... We are struggling for an agreement ourselves! My husband doesn't seem to like ANY names at all... :/

Rory, Lila and Xanthe are nice. Really dislike all the others but particularly dislike Stanley and the ‘cutesy’ girl names.
