What are your thoughts on Emmett? Do you know any?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You're a bit daft, then

winterhappiness · 19/11/2017 14:04

Love it ! :)

EmmaGrundyForPM · 19/11/2017 14:08

I've never met an Emmett. The name immediately makes me think of Emmett Till which is so devesystingly sad that I couldn't use it.

MacaroonMama · 19/11/2017 20:31

I liked Emmett but for various reasons preferred Emerson - and that is the name of our middle son! Mostly after the poet. Would that be one to consider? Or Edison?

ASDismynormality · 19/11/2017 20:34

My first thought was the Lego movie song, not a bad association. It's a nice name.

stonygreysoil · 20/11/2017 15:31

Perfectly nice name. Not uncommon in ireland

mummytwoh · 21/11/2017 13:40

I know a 3 year old one. Hadn't heard it before but think it's nice on a child and man

MammieBear · 21/11/2017 16:36

I don't, but it brings to mind a very capable boy quite strong and independent. Lovely choice!

roobrr · 21/11/2017 16:42

Love it!

RedGrapeCornSnake · 21/11/2017 21:53

Our snake is called Emmett, but she's a girl (we were told she was a boy and the name had stuck by the time we found out she was a lady!)
I like it

onemachine · 23/11/2017 21:51

I also have only heard it used where I live as a common derogatory term for tourists

onlyonaTuesday · 23/11/2017 22:04

I know one. He is 44 and lovely.
It’s a lovely name

Hauntedlobster · 23/11/2017 22:05

Everything is awesome about that name.

I know one, it’s cute.

mathanxiety · 25/11/2017 05:06

I like it a lot. I know one, aged 18, Irish American, plays bass in a great band.
