Violet or Rose ...

My name has been mentioned several times and I’m not a fan but this has made me reconsider my own name and frankly it is lovely. Very very touched that so many think it’s beautiful.

Ooh or Clementine, just gorgeous

BeatriceBeaudelaire · 05/10/2017 19:40

Also thankful for meanings - my full name ( Christian, middle and surname) means wisdom of the elves of the forest. Parents didnt mean to and it’s a mix of languages but I love this meaning.

Isabella Rose GrinWink...the names of my 2 grandmothers, used together for my daughter.

Sgtmajormummy · 05/10/2017 20:17

Well. Condoleeza Rice never let HER name hold her back.
I read somewhere that the registrar copied down "Con Dolcezza" wrongly on her birth certificate.
And the parents just went along with it??

Sgtmajormummy · 05/10/2017 20:19

Condoleezza, with a double Z.
Makes the mistake even more likely!

ImissTerry · 05/10/2017 20:50

Vanessa - when I was a little girl there was a teenager who lived across the road from me. She had beautiful long, auburn, wavy hair - can't remember her face though :)

whiteroseredrose · 05/10/2017 20:53

Helena or Eleanor

Ellieboolou27 · 05/10/2017 21:05

Ellen
Louisa
Two classics and not very common

TeaAddict235 · 05/10/2017 21:10

There are lots of beautiful names in the world. Not all of them are Eurocentric.

Happyperson123 · 05/10/2017 21:29

Grace

JustTheWayYouAre · 05/10/2017 21:31

Juliette, Natasha, Maria, Mary were short listed if we had a girl.

Also love Tabitha and Honey but dh would have vetoed.

Flatbum · 05/10/2017 21:34

Delilah (i have so many other faves though, as iv posted on other threads many manyyy times before lol)

DeputyBrennan · 05/10/2017 21:43

Serena, Sabrina, Seraphina, Sabine. 'Beautiful' is evidently a fairly specific sound/structure to me.

I also think Astrid is very beautiful.

Alexandra

Toomanylists · 05/10/2017 21:46

Talia
Lydia
Jacqueline

Didn't call my DDs any of these - got talked out of them my DH/family. Always get a tiny bit of rage when I come across any girls with these names #regrets

thefutureisours · 05/10/2017 21:49

Xanthe

morningconstitutional2017 · 05/10/2017 21:52

Amelie, Rosanna or Maria.

Benedikte2 · 05/10/2017 22:57

Another who loves Helen. Such a soft name with the lovely meaning of "Light'. Never gone out of use yet never overly popular. All the Helens I've known have been strong characters with ethics.
I have synaesthesia and the name is a beautiful shade of blue

AndromedaPerseus · 05/10/2017 23:09

Io

SlightlyJaded · 05/10/2017 23:18

Flora
Delphine
Anouska
Isabel
Aurelia
Violet

I just like the way all of these sound in my mouth.

FWIW I used to think of Helen as a dull, swotty prefect name, but having met 3 very beautiful Helens, I now think I really like it as it is quite elegant and international
