Lots! One of my favourite names but far too many of them.

BewareOfDragons · 17/09/2017 23:02

Quite a few, from Reception to Year 8... Cambridgeshire. I only really like 1 of the many I know...

EstherMommy · 17/09/2017 23:23

One, age something like 14 months old. It's a nice name I think

KindergartenKop · 19/09/2017 20:55

I work in a secondary school. 50% of the kids are called Olivia. The other 50% are boys.
It's a bit less popular amongst the younger age group but still very common.

Allthebubbles · 19/09/2017 22:02

3, one in her 30s
One aged 5
One aged 3

SGDA · 20/09/2017 09:06

4

pipilangstrumpf · 20/09/2017 12:20

Lots and lots!

HaHaHmm · 20/09/2017 12:37

It's just overtaken Olivia as the most popular girls' name in England and Wales in 2016. I think it's safe to say that it's going nowhere!

HaHaHmm · 20/09/2017 12:37

Oops, I meant that Olivia's overtaken Amelia.

pipilangstrumpf · 20/09/2017 12:41

I'm sure it used to be Nr 1 a few years ago already..! So there will be loads of them!

LostwithSawyer · 20/09/2017 15:27

I wouldn't worry too much about it being No.1
Names are popular in different regions.

Im in the east and there's hardly any that I know.
Loads of Amelias though.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 20/09/2017 16:18

Two - aged 7 & 4 (both lovely!)

Primrose06 · 20/09/2017 16:19

Personally I know none , but do know an Olive (late 50's ) .Dd knows one . Neither know any Amelia 's
I suppose it depends where you live .
Was surprised to see adult son's name in top 50. But then I called that because I liked it and still do .

Applesandpears56 · 20/09/2017 17:04

Names are more diverse too so whilst say 20 years ago 20000 babies were called the top name each year, now it is more like 5000 as there's almost twice as many names being used by parents nowadays. So whilst there might have been 2 Emma's in each class 20 years ago now you might only get 1 Olivia in each school year.

KERALA1 · 20/09/2017 17:05

It's like calling your child Sarah or Claire in the mid 70s

Applesandpears56 · 20/09/2017 17:08

Or not, as I've just explained Kerala

KERALA1 · 20/09/2017 17:10

Still pretty dull though. So many names why do people insist on using the same ones?

NinonDeLenclos · 20/09/2017 17:29

Approx 1.2 billion.

PurpleTraitor · 20/09/2017 17:30

Nine, two Olives, and an Alivia.

All between 1-10yo, except one Olive who is in her 80s.

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 20/09/2017 17:32

Two. One is a lovely 21 year old & the other is OliviaMumsnet.

Cahu58 · 20/09/2017 17:33

Only one my 20 year old DD... I work in a school and there are none at the moment

NameChangeFamousFolk · 20/09/2017 17:35

Lots. It is a lovely name though!

ifcatscouldtalk · 20/09/2017 17:37

One who I kind of know (friend of a friend) in her 30s. My daughter's 13 and can't say I've met any throughout her school years to date. Yet it's right at the top for popular girls names.

happymumof4crazykids · 20/09/2017 17:43

6 Olivia's Smile

thisismadness77 · 20/09/2017 17:44

I know of one... never met her. Lovely name!
